Belden 2021 Early Career Leadership Program (ECLP)

Who is Belden?

What is the Early Career Leadership Program?

The Early Career Leadership Program is a 3 year, cohort-based development program for new graduates joining Belden as full-time associates. We are hiring for 6 program tracks: General Management, Commercial, Research & Development, Finance/Accounting, Operations, and Human Resources. From day one of joining Belden, you will become an active member of our team. Working on a role rotation basis (in most cases) you will have the opportunity to get exposure to our different brands, businesses and technologies. As one of our class of 2021, you will have regular opportunities to connect with peers from other Belden functional early career leadership programs as you participate in a highly interactive and action based learning curriculum. The content of this curriculum will be designed to build your knowledge of our core business systems, develop your business acumen, and create a strong foundation for your functional and leadership skills. Team members will also receive individualized feedback throughout the program along with the mentoring support of a leader in Belden.

Operations Early Career Leadership Program

The Operations track is perfect for someone who is driven to, and passionate about, leading others in an operational arena at an accelerated pace. In this program, you will experience three roles in operations and supply chain management: an operations-focused role, a supply-chain-focused role and a managerial experience role. Understanding operations and the supply chain from these perspectives will fast track your career path toward an operations/supply chain leadership role, allowing you to end your first three years with an understanding of end-to-end supply chains and savvy leadership skills.

The Operations track is perfect for someone who is driven to, and passionate about, leading others in an operational arena at an accelerated pace. In this program, you will experience three roles: Process Engineer, Product Development Engineer, Testing Engineer. After completion of the curriculum you may get promotion in Process/R&D/QA functions.

Pre-requisites:

- Passionate, enthusiastic individuals who are ready to take on a challenge

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar major

- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin

- Demonstrate leadership aptitude with the desire to build a career in the Operations & Supply Chain function

- At least two relevant internships, or less than one year working experience is required

Positions within the Operations Early Career Leadership Program will be based in Kunshan, Suzhou.

Research & Development Early Career Leadership Program

The R&D track is perfect for someone who is driven to, and passionate about, leading others in an R&D function at an accelerated pace. In this program, you will experience three roles to become a well-rounded engineering leader: engineering, product management and operations. Understanding the business from these different perspectives will fast track your career path toward an R&D leadership role, allowing you to end your first three years with a customer mindset and savvy leadership skills. The ideal candidate for this program is someone with an electrical engineering, optical engineering or polymer science background.

Pre-requisites:

- Passionate, enthusiastic individuals who are ready to take on a challenge

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with Material Engineering, Material Science, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design & Automation, Optical Engineering, Polymer Science or similar major.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin

- Demonstrate leadership aptitude with the desire to build a career in Research & Development

- At least two relevant internships, or less than one year working experience is required

Positions within the Research & Development Early Career Leadership Program will be based in Kunshan, Suzhou.

Finance Early Career Leadership Program

The finance track is perfect for someone who is driven to, and passionate about, leading others in the finance arena at an accelerated pace. In this program, you will experience three roles within the functional areas of finance, including: cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, internal auditing, treasury and tax. Understanding the business from these different perspectives will fast track your career path toward a finance leadership role, allowing you to end your first three years with well-rounded financial exposure and savvy leadership skills. Working on a role- rotation basis, you will experience different Belden brands, businesses and technologies.

Pre-requisites:

- Passionate, enthusiastic individuals who are ready to take on a challenge

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with Finance or Accounting

- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin

- Demonstrate leadership aptitude with the desire to build a career in the commercial world

- At least two relevant internships, or less than one year working experience is required

Positions within the Finance Early Career Leadership Program will be based in Kunshan, Suzhou.

Human Resources Early Career Leadership Program

We are looking for talented, driven and passionate people who aspire to lead others in a HR arena and are excited to join an early career program that offers robust hands-on development over a three year duration.

From day one, you will become an active member of our HR team. Working on a role rotation basis you will have the opportunity to get exposure to our different brands, businesses and technologies. As one of our class of 2021, you will have regular opportunities to connect with peers from other Belden early career functional leadership programs as you participate in a highly interactive and action based learning curriculum. The content of this curriculum will be designed to build your knowledge of our core business systems, develop your business acumen, and create a strong foundation for your finance and leadership skills. Team members will also receive individualized feedback throughout the program along with the mentoring support of a leader in Belden.

- Passionate, enthusiastic individuals who are ready to take on a challenge
