Our Commodities and Global Markets group has over 2,000 staff in 22 countries who provide products and services to clients exposed to commodities and financial markets. The group specializes in providing clients with access to markets, financing, financial hedging, research and market analysis, and physical execution across energy; metals, mining and agriculture; fixed income and currencies; credit; futures and equity markets.

With a diverse platform covering more than 25 market segments and over 160 products that has evolved over more than four decades, the group leverages its deep market knowledge to provide tailored solutions for clients.

In our Commodities and Global Markets group you ll work on a trading desk in a fast-paced environment. As an entry level Junior Business Development Analyst it will be very diverse and will provide direct support for senior management in a range of tasks ranging from drafting reports, desk analysis, financial modelling, preparation of presentations, preparation of briefing notes, translation etc. Reporting to the CGM Country Head, in this role you ll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of market dynamics, assist in tailoring innovative products and solutions for clients as well as producing fundamental market analysis and research. You will get the chance to engage with clients and your support will improve the capability of the senior manager to thoroughly analyse and evaluate potential new opportunities specifically for the Commodities and Global Markets division but potentially for other platforms across the bank.

You will bring to the team some prior experience in an internship or previous role. You will have a tertiary qualification in a finance, accounting, or related discipline Fresh grads are welcomed. You are detail oriented and proficient in financial modelling skills. You possess strong numeric and analytical skills and have good execution skills. Lastly, you are fluent/native in English and Mandarin and your excellent communications skills will allow you to liaise with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels with ease. The role will be based in Shanghai but is likely to involve travel within China and possibly internationally.
