Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for Wiring harness engineering robustness, Design for Manufacturing/Design for Assembly/Design for Service, part release, parts list/complexity management/ BOM management, Cost & Weight;

Lead and develop the component/system level Quality History/DFMEA/PFMEA/B-diagram/P-diagram etc robustness analysis;

Lead Wiring Design rule check and VRQA (Vehicle Routing Quality Assurance) check;

Support the component and system level specification for wiring harness and its associated components such as Tape, Grommet and Connector etc;

Evaluate and identify the suppliers to meet Ford cost, quality, weight, volume and timing requirements cooperating with cross-functional team;

Lead the supplier to design and develop components and/or system to meet all requirements including cost/quality/weight/timing;

Lead an implementation of FORD product development process / quality operation system and ensure the milestone deliverables completed on time with quality;

Develop and manage ESOW (Engineering Statement Of Work) to ensure all FORD Quality, Design and Engineering requirements being fully cascaded to the supplier;

Ensue that the EDS prototype build successfully supports the vehicle prototype build on time with quality;

Responsible for the robust design verification, production product validation and engineering sign-off;

Lead in resolving the issues down to the closure and manage design changes;

Support all APQP activities including PPAP sign-off.

Qualifications & Skills Required

Last year of Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical e/or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).

Some knowledge in electrical circuit design and prototype making.

Good English skills in writing, reading, listening and speaking.

Good communication skills and capability in utilising all communication tools.

Good planning, organizational and project management skills.

Team player and ability to lead and work with cross functional teams.

Willing for Long-term travel (on-site tech support vehicle launch outside Nanjing)
