Isity Global is seeking an intern to provide support to the Solutions team in their efforts to advocate for smart and sustainable solutions focused on buildings and city scale infrastructure. The position will be based in Shanghai. Duties will include: · Conducting research on a wide variety of sustainability and energy policy topics, including building technology, data management platforms for smart building, energy and environmental performance, food waste regulations, etc. · Tracking national and local legislation on energy efficiency, environmental and sustainability regulations, as well as the associated tax incentives and penalties · Maintaining solution providers databases · Developing project management work flow and procedures · Supporting the Solutions team in drafting letters, fact sheets, reports and other ad-hoc assignments. Required Skills and Experience: · Junior or Senior level university student, preferably majoring in a discipline associated with Smart Cities or Smart Buildings including engineering, architecture, project management, information technology, environmental/sustainability science or equivalent · Passion for addressing the sustainability issues facing China and the world today in a practical action oriented way so that lives can be improved, while also decreasing the costs of doing business · Familiarity with or interest in the Chinese national standards, codes and policies for smart building data management platforms, building information technologies, ICT networks, green building and relevant environmental certifications are preferred · Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint · Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently, and take ownership over assignments · Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and have experience working in a team · Native level Chinese and good English capability for written and spoken business communication Reporting Line · The Intern will report to the Solutioning group of Isity, which focuses on identifying leading, world class solutions for implementation at Isity’s clients, and also for managing the actual implementations of those solutions.
