Maersk Line Procurement is offering a unique opportunity to gain and develop best practice industry knowledge within the procurement field from our office in Shanghai. We are looking for pro-active candidates for an internship position within our procurement department, which offers amazing learning opportunities and great colleagues.

We Offer
As an intern in the procurement team, you will gain broad knowledge of Maersk Line and the procurement discipline in container shipping. We are a truly international team with a diverse work environment. You will assist across the procurement and contract management functions in the team.

Key Responsibilities
The procurement function is largely based on projects and therefore the daily work will be diverse and vary throughout the year. As an intern, you will focus on research but also be exposed to a variety of classical consultancy tasks such as:

? Identifying new suppliers, assessing cost drivers and opportunities in complex marketplaces
? Developing new models to analyse supplier offers and quantify total costs and total values of ownership
? Mapping and analysing data on current spend patterns
? Preparing material for RFI, RFQ, etc.
? Other administrative and ad hoc tasks

Who we are looking for

You must thrive in a fast paced, fast changing and dynamic environment and be a true team player with strong analytical abilities and interpersonal, and communication skills. The ideal candidate would look like the below:

? Completed relevant bachelor level degree with excellent academic performance
? Strong communication skills (you will be talking to many suppliers)
? Very good English skills - both oral and written
? Good problem solving and analytical skills
? Excellent at Microsoft Office package, especially Excel
? Good attention to details
? Able to work independently and on multiple tasks at the same time
? Eagerness and willingness to undertake a steep learning curve
? Experience with market research is an advantage

Attendance per week is anticipated at 2-3 days or more with at least 12 months remaining before your university graduation.
