Position Summary
The Guest Relations Associate position offers an exceptional opportunity to develop strong professional & leadership skills and is an integral part of an ambitious international team. There is ample opportunity to develop an accelerated professional development track. The position involves a high degree of responsibility which includes assisting all guests in all areas of the hotel efficiently, professionally, courteously, and with enthusiasm, while maintaining The Linden Centre s high standards of service and hospitality at all times.
Requirements
Excellent communications skills verbal and written.
Preference for 1-2 years relevant experience (e.g. sales, customer service, hospitality).
Self-starter / team-player who take initiative & can operate with minimal guidance.
Curiosity & a passion for people.
Technology skills (e.g. network administration, strong computer skills) a strong asset.
Native Chinese speaker & highly proficient English speaker.
Willing to work long term (Minimum one year commitment ).
Job Responsibilities
Maintain a friendly, neat and pleasant image to guests.
Demonstrate cooperation and trust with colleagues, supervisors, teams and across departments to deliver positive results.
To become totally familiar with room types, layouts, amenities, rate structures, outlets (operating hours, menu, and prices), facilities, and services offered in the hotel.
Be responsible for all telephone, Website Reservation System, and fax inquiries as well as counter inquiries.
Process reservations from all incoming phone calls, faxes, and travel agents.
Greet guests on arrival and conduct check-in and registration procedures.
Be responsible for the accuracy of all registered guests information
Handle all check-outs efficiently and professionally with minimum delays.
Keep informed of all ongoing functions/events/promotions in the hotel and introduce them to guests.
Communicate all room and rate changes and guests' special arrangements to concerned staff and departments.
Report group and VIP information to Supervisor and concerned departments.
Build and maintain positive relationships with all customers and guests in order to meet their needs.
Provide courteous and friendly service to guests including: information on hotel facilities, restaurants, transportation, sightseeing and other local information to ensure that guest s individual needs are met.
Respond promptly and tactfully to guest's complaints, requests and comments. Initiate appropriate action and follow through to resolution.
Arrange transportation for guests and hotel staff.
Handle foreign exchange.
Assists with general operations & special events for the hotel when necessary
