Chinese Intern at the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing

The Trade Council, working as an integrated part of the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing, is looking actively for an intern preferably with experience within the Health & Life Science sector. The Trade Council China is working to develop trade relations between China and Denmark. This includes making services for Danish companies within the Health & Life Science industry as well as relevant authorities at the highest level in both China and Denmark.

As part of a group of seven Danish and Chinese Commercial Counsellors working dedicatedly with Health & Life Science on 5 representations in China, the work of the intern will include research, data mapping and analysis of both general as well as specific areas within the Chinese Health & Life Science policies. Working from the main representation, The Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing, the intern will work as a fully integrated member of the team and report directly to the Team Leader of the entire group of Commercial Counsellors for Health & Life Science as well as reporting to project managers of the group.

The duration of the internships is 6 months.

WHAT qualifications are required for the Chinese interns?

1. Team player

2. Proactive, dynamic, taking responsibility in his/hers work;

3. Good command of English, both in writing and speaking;

4. Majors within Health & Life Science economics, Political science, or Economics will be a plus;

5. Good analytical and communication skills;

6. Sense of perspective as well as ability to sense important details;

7. Structured approach to assignments.

WHAT are the Chinese interns’ responsibilities?

1. Data collection and commercial analysis in health sector;

2. Health & Life Science Policy mapping

3. Contributing to analysis and participating in writing reports

4. Public media search and distribution of weekly news summaries;

5. Quarterly commercial sector report (import, distribution, competitors, partnerships, new product launches etc.);

6. Information collection for planning of high level visits between Danish companies and Chinese authorities or companies;

7. Ad hoc assignments.
