Position Description
The Solar Analyst will work with the US business development and operations management team to evaluate commercial and government properties for solar feasibility by creating excellent economic and analytical models to create persuasive value propositions and financial schedules for internal and client use.  The candidate must be extremely motivated to be part of a fast-paced and rapidly developing company in this dynamic industry, with the creative and critical thinking skills to tackle a variety of challenges.  This is a key role within the services division for the global markets and clients that we serve in North America and China.  Areas of responsibility include:
 
Responsibilities 
• Create and evaluate client solar projects, including:
o Using multiple software tools to develop preliminary assessments
o Analyzing client energy data and rate structures for opportunities
o Determining ideal system design and component selection
o Creating financial analytics and cost savings forecasts
o Assessing economic viability and options to increase margins
• Prepare client presentations, project proposals and supporting materials
• Communicate effectively with system design team, project/operations manager, systems engineers, and client contacts on a daily basis in the US and China
• Increase effectiveness of organization by identifying and developing new systems, tools and models
• Market data/analysis for solar industry and target client segments 
• Market analysis on new emerging products, companies and business models

 
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, finance, accounting or MBA
• Demonstrated economic and financial modeling expertise
• Demonstrated proficiency with statistical tools, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Strong insight into client and market value propositions for B2B services
• Solid understanding of energy production, costs and rate structures
• Experience with data or market research for companies with technical products/services
• Must pay rigorous attention to detail
• Highly effective at identifying problems or potential issues then using analytical skills to draw conclusions and make constructive recommendations based on data
• Maintains high integrity, even when faced with extreme pressures or challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (interviews will be conducted in English)
• Solar or renewable energy experience a big plus

2、Solar PV System Design Engineer – Multiple Positions in Hangzhou, China

Position Description
The Solar PV System Design Engineer will work closely with the US business development and operational management teams to evaluate and develop high-output and cost-effective solar solutions for roof and ground mount systems.  This is a key role within the services division for the global markets and clients that we serve in North America and China.  Areas of responsibility include:

Responsibilities 
• Evaluate and recommend system designs providing optimal aesthetics, performance and price in accordance with customer goals and expectations.
• Work closely with sales and marketing to develop PV system solutions that address commercial and utility market segment needs.
• Communicate effectively with operations management staff and clients throughout the assessment, installation and optimization process on a daily basis in both the US and China.
• Develop preliminary, conceptual and final PV array layout concepts with schematics & detail drawings using various CAD tools including, but not limited to:
• PV Array Layouts
• Roof Plan Layouts
• Site Plan Layouts
• Elevations
• Electrical Schematics
• One-Line Diagrams
• Balance of Systems wall plans / elevations Structural and Attachment Details
• Roof Mounted Systems
• Self-Ballasted Systems
• Pole Mounted Systems
• Ground Mounted Systems
• Choose appropriate quantity and type of PV modules, inverters, mounting structures and monitoring hardware/software for proposed roof-mount or ground-mount solar systems.
• Create and update accurate estimates of PV array costs including balance of system and integration with roofing systems.
• Collaborate with team to efficiently and consistently estimate projects, develop winning proposals and develop long-term client relationships.

 
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, architectural design or related fields
• Minimum of three (3) years experience as a designer or estimator working on major construction, energy or electrical projects
• Minimum of two (2) years experience as CAD operator/drafter
• Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
• Demonstrated proficiency with various CAD tools including AutoCAD, proficiency with Sketchup is a plus
• Knowledge of architectural drafting standards, as well as blueprint and specification reading skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (interviews will be conducted in English)
• Strong knowledge of international electrical engineering standards and practices
• Experience with solar systems, renewable energy or solar design software a big plus
