Responsibilities：

•Finding new suppliers using a number of different methods such as looking on the internet, contacting other people in the industry, etc.
•Contacting the new suppliers and visiting them to assess if they are suitable.
•Receiving drawings, specification, etc. for items to be purchased and preparing inquiries for these items. Sending the inquiries to the suppliers, both new suppliers and existing suppliers.
•Following up with the suppliers about the inquiries, discussing the details and negotiating the prices and terms.
•Visiting the suppliers to help with manufacturing and technical problems and to make sure they are on schedule. Expediting them if they are not on schedule.
•Accompanying foreigners on visits to the suppliers and helping with the communication between the foreigners and suppliers. It might also be necessary to visit the foreign Howden companies to discuss their requirements.
•Participating in regular Howden Global Supply Chain meetings. These are held about every 3 months and could be in China, in Thailand or in Europe so they would involve some overseas travel.

Qualifications:

•At least 5 years of procurement experiences
•4 year degree, major in mechanical or relevant
•Experiences in fans, air preheaters,gas-gas heater or compressors are prior to
•Experiences in welding are prior to
•Experience in one or more of the components such as large steel fabricated and welded components; large castings; large forgings as so on
•The ability to meet with and influence suppliers, including expediting them
•Good level of understanding technical drawings and specifications
•Able to understand technical requirements and able to prepare inquiries
•Able to understand basic quality requirements for components including material specifications, dimensional requirements, appearance quality, inspection documents, etc.
•Able to understand the factors that affect the cost of components
•Able to assess if a possible supplier might be able to supply components
•Good understanding of commercial terms and conditions
•Good negotiation skills
•Good at cooperating with others
•Good attention to detail and good at keeping work well organized
•Able to travel regularly, including some travel outside China
•Good spoken and written English, including technical English, and ability to translate some technical terms
•Computer literate
