职责概要
高级嵌入式软件设计工程师参与航海电子消费产品的嵌入式软件设计与开发，要求能够独立承担软件模块、驱动以及新功能的设计开发和测试，完成从项目开始直至生产后续支持的整个过程，制定和完成项目进度目标并达到产品技术规格。

技能要求
此高级职位候选人应该具有以下基本知识和技术水平
熟悉嵌入式系统编程的原理和高级技能
至少在C/C++，ASM，Visual Basic上拥有较深的知识和实践经验
有使用各种嵌入式微处理器，微型控制器和DSP的工作经历
熟悉嵌入式实时操作系统，并拥有较丰富的实践经验
拥有进程间通讯，多进程和多线程方面的实践经验
拥有用户界面设计，图形处理和DSP编程方面的知识和实践经验
熟悉源代码控制系统
拥有软件开发工具（编译器，汇编程序器，调试器，在线仿真器等）方面较深的知识和实际工作经验
拥有硬件诊断工具（示波器，逻辑分析仪，函数发生器等）方面较深的知识和实际工作经验

功能级设计/编码/测试
模块级设计/编码/测试
底层驱动程序设计/编码/测试
微控制器程序主循环设计/编码/测试
新功能相关的算法设计
主要子系统的设计/开发/测试（例如菜单系统，GPS导航系统等）
软件/硬件接口的定义和文档编写
为工作分配估计工作量/开发进度
建立和执行软件平台的配置管理
编写全面的软件测试计划
负责软件发布版本的质量及文档
软件发布版本的问题调查和解决
同事间的代码审阅
给实习生和合作学生提供技术指导
研究与产品和软件平台设计相关的新技术和工具

学历背景/相关经历
计算机科学、计算机工程及电子工程相关专业本科以上学历，5年以上相关工作经验

其他相关技能

SUMMARY
The Senior Embedded Software Design Engineer will participate in the embedded software design and development required for a Humminbird marine consumer electronics product. The responsibility level for this position requires being solely responsible and accountable for the design and qualification of software modules, drivers and feature implementations for a new Humminbird product from project start to manufacturing, with continued support after manufacturing begins. This includes establishing and meeting project schedule objectives and product specifications.

KNOWLEDGE/TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
The candidate will possess the following minimum knowledge and technical skill levels necessary to perform at the responsibility level required for this senior level position:
Advanced embedded systems programming fundamentals and techniques.
Advanced knowledge and practical experience in at least the following programming languages: C/C++, ASM, and Visual Basic.
Experience working with a variety of microprocessors, micro-controllers, and DSPs.
Advanced knowledge and practical experience in using embedded real-time operating systems.
Experience with inter-process communication, multi-tasking, and multi-threading.
Working knowledge and practical experience in user-interface design, graphics processing, and DSP programming.
Set-up and use of a source code control system.
Advanced knowledge and practical experience of software development tools such as compilers, assemblers, linkers, debuggers, in-circuit emulators, etc.
Advanced knowledge and practical experience of hardware diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate for this position will be expected to carry out the following software design tasks independently with minimal supervision of more senior software engineers or management:
function level design/coding/testing
module level design/coding/testing
low level device driver design/coding/testing
microcontroller main loop system design/coding/testing
feature-specific algorithm design
major sub-system design/coding/testing (i.e. menu system, GPS navigation, etc.)
define and document hardware/software interfaces
develop software schedules/task breakdowns with detailed effort estimates for work assignments
establish/perform configuration management for software platforms
write comprehensive test plans for software qualification testing
software release qualification and documentation
support released software by investigating problem reports and identifying solutions
conduct peer level code reviews
provide technical guidance for software engineering student interns or co-op students
research of advanced technology and tools related to Humminbird products and software platform designs

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum BSEE or BSCS degree with 5+ year’s professional experience specifically related to writing software for embedded systems.

OTHER RELATED SKILLS
The candidate must be a self-starting, motivated contributor in a team environment, capable of a high level of work output. He/she must have excellent social and interpersonal skills, be able to take direction and guidance, and work well within the cooperative culture of the Humminbird Engineering group.
