- General Work Related Duties:Strategic Planning:In collaboration with other commercial teams, propose, develop and formulate country business strategy;Provide strategic planning for special projects, tasks with long term implications, new product / market development, etc.;Business Development:In alignment with country business strategy, contact relevant parties to explore new business development opportunities;Identify and analyze potential candidates who can be licensees for the hybrid and trait business;Design detailed operational model with each licensee;Conduct contract and commercial negotiation;Sales and Commercial Interface:Working closely on budgets / long range plans / pricing / operational plans keeping in mind short term and long term focusProviding support to regional sales initiatives and product / brand plansSupporting strategic commercial initiativesCross functional / Cross Regional Interface:Participating in cross functional / cross regional teams like Crop team etcLiaise with the regional office on strategy / reporting etc.
- People Development:Leading Marketing Team to achieve desired goals;Help prioritize team’s tasks and also keep track of deliverables. Intervene whenever necessary so as to keep the team on track;Motivating, training and counseling the team so that they can deliver at the optimum levels.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with various levels within and outside the organization;
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record;
- Strong influential skills;
- University degree. MBA is preferable;
- Experience in seed business will be an added advantage;
