Business Unit DescriptionSTG Lab Based Services (LBS) is a pool of highly skilled, experienced resources that:
- Improves business solutions for servers and storage
- Focuses on solving the customers business problem by architecting, designing, delivering, installing, optimizing, and providing skills transfers for solutions & applications which helps to sell servers and storage.The LBS organization within STG that:
- Delivers advanced solution/application development services
- Performs IT optimization studies and recommends strategies
- Operates onsite or remotely
- Works collaboratively, complementary with STG, IGS, ISS & BCS and Business Partners
- Works on a billable, cost
-recovery basisJob DescriptionBased on customers requirement, design and implement HPC cluster with IBM hardware. HPC performance tuning.QualificationsBachelor or higher, major in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering;IBM Certification PreferredDesired Experience
- Versed on Linux and AIX system administration/configuration/networking;
- Familiar with concepts of HPC(high performance computing) cluster architecture, cluster system management, job scheduling, paralell file system;
- Hands
-on experience on HPC cluster implementation and troubleshooting;
- Strong programming skills in Shell, Perl, or other scripting language;
- Experience on IBM pSeries, xSeries and BladeCenter servers;
- Experience on IBM 1350/1600 cluster and IBM Storage products is a plus;
- Experience on any of the IBM HPC software products (CSM, LoadLeveler, PE, GPFS) is a plus;
- Experience on parallel programming or HPC application development (MPI, openMP, PVM) is a plus;
- Experience on open source or third part HPC solutions (Beowulf, OSCAR, xCAT, openPBS, etc) is a plus;Certification: AIX certification/RHCE is preferred.
- Excellent communication skill, fluent in both spoken and written English;
