Duties:

The individual contributes on a project team of engineers involved in the testing and release of Juniper security hardware and software products.

The Quality Assurance team plays an integral role in the Juniper/NetScreen product development process. As a Test Engineer, he/she will work closely with the product management and software development teams to ensure the overall quality of our FW/VPN products. Help design and execute test suites, and report product’s defects in order to maintain and enhance the product’s quality. Specific responsibilities will include applying networking and information security knowledge in testing design and execution, and networking package generating tools during the testing cycle. The engineer will design and implement networking environments and security procedures and policies, which will simulate customer’s environment.

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, EE or related field
- Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills. Good written and verbal English skills.
- Strong networking experience, TCP/IP, Familiarity with protocols in layer 3, layer 4, and some application layer protocols.
- Strong network devices knowledge such as routers and switches.
- Familiarity with network testing devices such as IXIA, SmartBits and etc.
- Preferably familiar with security technologies such as Firewalls and VPN production.
- Experienced in a mixed Linux/UNIX and Windows environment
- At least 3 years of work experience in software quality assurance
- Experience writing test suites and test procedures at the black box and system test levels
- Strong understanding of regression, integration, interoperability, system level and stress/load test execution
- Knowledge of software development process
- Ability to anticipate problems and issues then recommend problem solutions
