Clinical Research Unit of Shantou University Medical College (CRU-SUMC) was initially established as

Shantou-Oxford Clinical Research Unit(SOCRU) on May 15, 2010 for collaboration between SUMC and the University of Oxford in the field of scientific research related to human health. CRU's mission is to promote health through Research, Training, and Education.

Prerequisite Education Background Bachelor in Clinical Medicine, Public Health, or Pharmacy AND Masters in Global Health, Public Health, Clinical Medicine, Statistics OR PhD (or equivalent) in Global Health, Public Health, Clinical Medicine, Statistics

Area of research assignment Global Public Health and Clinical Research in the area of- Infectious diseases (including tropical and neglected infectious diseases and emerging infections) Non-communicable diseases and disorders (of regional significance)
