POSITION OVERVIEW

The advanced textile innovation center (ATIC) is newly established by The LYCRA Company as platform where we can bring our latest innovations closer to our customers. As a member of the technical staff at ATIC, you will work with both local and global colleagues to develop cutting edge applications of our core and differentiated LYCRA? fibers, and COOLMAX? and THERMOLITE? polyester fibers that are fashionable, high performance, and environmentally friendly.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Generate and execute innovative ideas in textiles design, engineering, downstream treatment and finishing.

2. Create value through new product development and innovations with brands, retailers and supply chain partners ranging from inner wear, outer wear, denim, hosiery, to warm and cool solutions.

3.Interact with leadership (executives) to advance and promote new product development internally and externally with our brand/retail/supply chain partners.

4. Deliver development projects within timeline and budget.

5.Provide technical support to global technology initiatives in Asia Pacific region.

6.Provide technical solutions to mill and brand customers in Asia Pacific region.

7. Be able to develop intellectual property (patents).

QUALIFICATIONS

任职资格

1.A minimum of a MS degree in a relevant field of scientific study (Textile Science, Textile Engineering, Fiber Science, Polymer or Materials Science). An Advanced degree (Ph.D) is desired but not a must.

在相关科学研究领域（纺织科学、纺织工程、纤维科学、聚合物或材料科学）至少获得硕士学位。如有更高学位（如博士学位）更佳。

2.Familiar with textile structure design, textile engineering, dyeing and finishing and relative analysis methods.

熟悉纺织结构设计、纺织工程、染整及相关分析方法。

3.Experience in the textile industry (knitting, weaving, yarn process, or garment engineering etc.). Proven track record of innovation in fabric design, fabric processing, and/or garment engineering. For exceptional candidates, experience gained during relevant academic studies will be also considered.

有纺织行业相关经验（针织、织造、纱线加工或服装工程等）。在织物设计、织物加工和/或服装工程方面的创新经验优先考虑。对于应届生，也将考虑在相关学术研究中获得的经验。

4.Must be able to communicate in English and Chinese; competency in Cantonese would be an additional advantage.

5.Familiar with basic statistic tool & analysis.

About the Advanced Textile Innovation Center

The Advanced Textile Innovation Center (ATIC) is equipped with modern textile processing equipment for knitting and weaving along with garment engineering, fabric certification, and analytical testing tools. It is located within the Sanshan Technology and Science Park and is very close to the Guangzhou south high-speed train station. Researchers at this Center will work closely with experts from our other textile innovation labs in the US and Europe to create new textile solutions that are both functional and fashionable to meet the global apparel market needs, by conducting research programs based on advanced fibers and textile-based fabric and garment innovations.
