Responsibilities:
Responsible for advanced technology testing development:
Work with US testing team to define the tester HW/SW requirement, work with tester development
teams on HW/SW characterization and feedback
Head DOE testing & Characterization in the early stage
Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the recording heads, assess the recording
performance and evaluate head reliabilities;
Provide testing design feedback to wafer design team
Provide in-depth DET/HDD characterization for head testing improvement
Focal point to Asia factories in DET testing
Work with test development team to bring up new test capabilities and transfer to the factories
Support factories in resolving testing issues, testing optimization
Requirements:
MS required / Ph. D. preferred in Physics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Applied Physics,
or a related field.
Fluent writing, reading & speaking in English
Preferred to have experience in magnetic/optical performance characterization, knowledge of
magnetic recording and test. Have a good understanding of design parameters that affect magnetic performance.
Experience with statistical data analysis and Design of Experiment (DOE) is required.
The candidate should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: novel instrumentation,
experimental techniques, and laboratory programming skills (Visual Basic, Matlab, etc.)
The candidate should have strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment are essential.
