Job Description

As an intern in the Centralized Research Group (CRG), you'll build excellent corporate finance skills through working with the best minds in the industry, on some of the world's most innovative and challenging Investment Banking assignments.

What you can expect

As an Intern, you'll be working with either the Industry or Coverage team, getting a real time exposure to our research capabilities in the global investment banking space. In the Industry or Coverage team, you will develop industry or geographic market expertise to identify revenue generating opportunities for clients across the globe.

Your work will include interpretation and synthesize of research data, company reports on clients, industry and markets. You will help prepare marketing materials for clients including company evaluation and analysis, valuation models. By developing your financial analysis abilities, you ll help to provide analysis and interpretation of financial statements including trading and transaction comparable, basic modeling and benchmarking for companies in the sector/ products covered. Your vast repository of knowledge will be much sought after by internal and external clients alike.

Training

You will participate in an intensive one week training program in Shanghai. You ll be trained on various modules such as modeling, valuation and accounting.

What you need to bring

Genuine curiosity about the investment banking world is the starting point. We are looking for adaptable and enthusiastic students who thrive in a dynamic environment to be part of the J.P. Morgan team. Academic excellence is a must. While there is no set degree for investment bankers, coursework in finance or economics will be useful.

Additional requirements include:

Deadline oriented; close attention to detail and accuracy

Knowledge of analyzing company financials /financial modeling

Strong verbal and written communication skills

The confidence and initiative to take on early responsibility and manage your own projects.

Proficiency in MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel

Ability to work proactively & independently as well as in a team environment
