About BRC

BRC (Beijing Research Center) conducts advanced research studies that introduce new proven technologies and provide specialized innovative technical services. BRC focuses on three main research areas, in quest of the latest oil & gas upstream leading-edge technologies, mainly Reservoir Engineering, Geophysics, and Geology. Reservoir engineering focuses on chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery (CEOR) research, especially in developing new surfactants and conducting evaluations to improve oil recovery. Whereas, Geophysics technology introduces advanced concepts and software developments that are pertinent to the processing and analysis of 3D seismic data. Finally, Geology technology integrates different types and scales of geological data and incorporates advanced geochemical analysis supported by physical modeling. Through close collaboration with Saudi Aramco’s EXPEC Advanced Research Center scientists as well as local universities and institutes in Beijing, the center has already made significant achievements in its research toward CEOR challenges as well as advanced seismic imaging.
