The Hong Kong Jockey Club (hereinafter referred to as the HKJC or the Club), founded in 1884, with over a century of brilliant history and tradition, has won the respect of all walks of life and becomes one of Hong Kong's most respected organisations in Hong Kong.
The HKJC is the sole operator authorised by the Government to provide horse racing, legal football betting and Mark Six lottery entertainment in Hong Kong. The HKJC is also one of the world’s leading horse racing and sports entertainment operation organisations and Hong Kong’s premier charity and community benefactor.

Not-For-Profit Business Model
With a history of over 130 years, the HKJC has always been respected by all sectors of the community owing to its unique not-for-profit business model. It is not owned by shareholders, and therefore no dividends are distributed. All its surplus goes back to the community through charitable donations. In the past 10 years, the Club has donated over HK$10 billion to charity, making the Club one of world’s premier charity and community benefactor.
Community Responsibilities
?Contribution to Charity
The Club provides world class sporting entertainment and all its surplus goes back into the community through its diverse range of charitable contributions. It always maintains the position of the largest community benefactor in Hong Kong.
In 2014/15, the total approved charitable donations of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust were over HK$3,871 million, an increase of 7.3% on the previous year. The approved donations will benefit 189 charities and community projects.
The HKJC has been honored with a China Charity Award from the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China to recognise its outstanding charity work in Mainland China, especially its contributions towards relief efforts following the snowstorms and the Sichuan earth*** in 2008.
?Responsible Gambling Policy
The HKJC devotes its effort to promote the Responsible Gambling Policy with its gambling service strictly complies with community responsibilities. The Club tries best to meet public demand of gambling, on the other hand, it makes efforts to minimize the possible adverse effects of gambling. The HKJC was awarded the highest level Accreditation under the Responsible Gambling Framework of the World Lottery Association (WLA) in 2011.
?Top Ten Employers
The HKJC is one of the top ten employers in Hong Kong with more than 26,000 full-time and part-time employees. In addition, the Club creates a large amount of indirect work opportunities of different industries for Hong Kong society, from which countless people are benefited.
?Talent Training and Development
The HKJC provides continuous training opportunities to its full-time and part-time employees. HKJC College started operation since the beginning of 2012 and it provides a series of courses authorized by government qualification framework, which is an important milestone of HKJC talent training. In addition, 2013 Outstanding Human Resources Prize awarded three prizes to HKJC including the Annual Awards, which highly recognized the Club’s effort and contribution to the talent training and development.
About Guangzhou HKJC Race Horse Training Limited
The equestrian events of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics will be held in Hong Kong at venues provided by the Club. In recognition of its contribution in building these venues and also committing the support of its equine hospital, Racing Laboratory and other facilities during the Games period, the Club has been officially recognised as "Outstanding Contributor, Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Equestrian Events." Because of the Club's successful experience in co-organising the equestrian events of the Beijing Olympic Games and our extensive expertise, the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (GAGOC) invited the Club to assist in the organisation of Asian Games equestrian events.
The Club has played an important role in the preparation of the equestrian events. We have cooperated closely with Chinese government departments to establish the first-ever Specific Equine Disease-free Zone in Mainland China; The Club is also responsible for the construction of competition venues. We have designed and built the competition arenas and related facilities, and overseen the construction process, ensuring that they comply with international standards. The Club also provides a wide range of supporting and professional services that are essential to the success of the equestrian events, including horse transportation, quarantine control, veterinary services and equipment, and competition gear. Awarding the Club the title of "Outstanding Contributor" is undoubtedly recognition of its efforts and contributions.
The Club signed the Cooperation Memorandum with Guangzhou Municipal Government in 2009 regarding the construction, technical support and post-games utilization of the venue of 2010 Guangzhou Asia Games Conghua Equestrian Events. The Club is committed to rebuild the Conghua Equestrian Venue into a new and modern horse training centre through the subsidiary - Guangzhou HKJC Race Horse Training Limited. The reconstruction and main works have begun and the training centre is expected to open in 2017/18.

1.Tracks Supervisor (Machinery)

Job Responsibilities: Maintain and develop tracks machine, equipment, parts and consumables; Operate and maintain the starting gates and irrigation system; Monitor the work done by Tracks Workshops and contractors; Provide a wide spectrum of support (administration and hands on operations) to tracks construction, turf and landscape establishment.
Requirements: University or above graduated in mechanical engineering or equivalent; Able to handle gas and electric welding; A valid driving license (C1) is a must; Able to read and write English; be trustworthy, dependable, responsible, patient and persistent.
2.Tracks Operations/ Administration Assistant

Job Responsibilities: Assist in construction and maintenance in daily tracks gardening jobs; Monitor stock levels of agricultural chemicals, seeds, related materials and spare parts; Assist in related machinery and equipment maintenance, etc.
Requirements: University or above graduated in Agricultural Sciences, Soil Sciences, Golf Course Management, Biology or Mechanical/ Civil Engineering or equivalent; Able to read and write English; Be trustworthy, dependable, responsible, patient and persistent.
3.Human Resources Assistant

Job Responsibilities: Assist in HR daily jobs, including HR record maintenance, staff benefit, ERP system, recruitment, employee relationship, etc...
Requirements: University or above graduated; Good communication and interpersonal skills, familiar with HR related laws and regulations, good English skills; with good IT skills is preferable.
