Internship Position: Intern - Credit Risk Management
Location: Shanghai
Intern Duration: 6 months
Start Date: The Beginning of May
Job Description:
To assess counterparty creditworthiness and prepare credit ratings
- Prepare financial spreadsheets for mostly corporate counterparties
- Based on DB proprietary techniques and standards, assess qualitative and quantitative risk drivers and prepare counterparty rating scorecards
- Produce spreadsheets of financial data for similar counterparties, for use as peer comparison
- Interact with front office staff to clarify uncertain points and request additional information
- Present rating proposals to internal approval committees
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of accounting and balance sheet analysis; chartered accountant candidates preferred though not required
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal, English and Mandarin)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to interact professionally with local CRM staff and ratings team
- Proactive and confident in asking questions
- Able to work at least 4 days/ week for 6 months
