Optical Design Engineer Brief Description
Infinera is leading manufacturer of long-haul WDM optical transmission equipment for the service provider market, a pioneer in design and manufacture of large scale photonic integrated circuits or PIC.

Infinera is looking for a motivated and talent optical engineer to join the Beijing Optical team. The candidate will be a design engineer for optical modules for Infinera s optical line system products.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Create optical sub-system or module procurement spec based on the system requirements

Qualification on optical components/modules, perform the necessary verification tests
Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge on optical fiber communication system, telecommunication principles

Knowledge on programming language

Ability on analysis and troubleshooting

Good English in written and verbal communication

Self-motivated

Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines in a dynamic collaborative environment

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Programming experience (e.g., , MATLAB, C, C , python)

Experiences on test equipment

Education and working experience required:
Master or PHD is required

Major should be electronic engineers, computer science, applied physics
