Assistant Instock Manager Intern

Want to work in one of the fastest growing and most innovativebusinesses at Amazon? Interested in working in a high impact role? Amazon islooking for a smart, motivated, driven team member to join the Kindle Device& Accessories Online Sales Team.

This team oversees online sales, buying, vendor management anddemand planning, playing a critical role helping to build, manage and optimizea complex supply chain.

The Assistant Instock Manager Intern will support procurementexecution, manage Purchase Order (PO) and inventory, and participate inprojects to optimize supply chain. As we grow the PC business, accurateinventory planning is critical to serving our customers. We need to have theproducts customers want, when they want them.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring online sales, demand and inventorylevel, calling out stock replenishment timely to ensure product availability

Placing PO, communicating with up/down-streamteams about PO and shipment information, making PO documentation

Executing import VAT payment request,coordinating vendor payment, making weekly payment forecast

Managing unsellable units, internal inventorytransfer, and vendor return

PreparingS&OP, weekly sales & inventory report

Reportingmetrics to support optimization

Developing SOP/handbooks for newprocesses/operations

Basic Qualifications：

Bachelor's degree or candidate in Logistics,Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or an Operationsdiscipline

Knowledge/experience in supply chain, inventorymanagement, analytical, retail and/or project management

Strong analytical abilities, includingproficiency in Microsoft Excel

Strong written and oral communication skills inboth Mandarin and English

Demonstrated strong willingness to roll upsleeves and get things done; Strong attention to details;

Good problem solvingand Communications skills

Preferred Qualifications：

Advanced degree candidate in OperationsManagement, Mathematics/Engineering, or an MBA with a quantitative focus

Programming skill, such as SQL or Excel VBA, isa plus

Data mining and statistical analysis skills withexperience of creating and using data repositories to create a clear picture ofin-stock position

Experience working with IT professionals andprocess improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

Retail or wholesale business experience
