Position Title: Field Development Representative

Report to: R&D Manager, DCP China

Location: Guangzhou

SSGL: 2- 3A

Functional Expert:

· Inputs to the development and implements field program to evaluate performance and utility of crop protection products

· Understands technical aspects of DuPont products and competitive offerings and anticipates changes in marketplace needs. Identifies and contributes to developing business opportunities for new products and technologies and PS&R projects.

· Assists in the development of project plans that meet technical objectives and business timelines.

· Assists in preparation of data packages for products and market segments. Supports preparation of product labels and directions for use assuring accuracy and consistency.

· Translates the given biology objective of a project into work plan for implementation

· Conduct field tests, analyse and summarize field test results using Field Pro and DDW

· Manage contract studies of his/her own territory and lease sites

· Establish and maintain technical relationship with local experts on agriculture practice, technical information & knowledge for the purpose to local business needs

· Knowledge of CPP products, local crop phenology, farmer practice, test skills and data summarization skills.

· Ability to work with local farmers, PPS and other testing agencies for quality implementation of FD testing trials

Skills and knowledge required:

· Knowledge and understanding of local agricultural cropping systems, crop phenology, pests, and practices. Application technology and product performance assessment/judgment etc.

· Knowledge of field testing, plot demonstration techniques and statistical analysis.

· Knowledge and skills in the use of computer hardware/software/web technology including electronic messaging, word processing, graphics, and database management.

· Ability to identify opportunities for competitive advantage with new and existing products in the marketplace.

· Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with internal staff, business partners, external customers and key influencers. Ability to operate within budget

· Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

· Ability and initiative to get results by delivering on commitments and implementing plans and programs.

· Ability to transfer and translate complex technical data into usable information that creates demand for products.

· Demonstrated ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and make decision

· Ability to plan, lead, and execute quality field development programs.

· Maturity and self-confidence to stand for convictions and work with others for optimum solutions to conflict

· Strong communicator – written and oral. Good spoken & written English skill and presentation skills.

· Ph.D degree of Entomology from a major agriculture university and/or 2 years work experience is preferred to.
