Open Position: (Senior)Scientist- Materials Science- Spray Drying

Purpose of Job:

Our state-of-the-art R&D Center in Shanghai, China is currently looking for a dedicated and reliable individual to join their team as Scientist/Senior Scientist in Materials Science

As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for developing the Flavor and Fragrance delivery systems using polymeric materials, formulation concepts and processes. The candidate will communicate with internal and external partners, conduct laboratory research, and build a research team.

Responsibilities:

Develop novel delivery systems, characterize their properties and performances. Scout and analyze new materials/technologies.

Design and perform experiments in a clear and consistent way. Responsible for documentation, data processing, and result reporting.

Work with internal partners to build intellectual property.

Work with internal partners to solve technical problems.

Manage multiple projects within timescale and budget.

Train new team members and manage the research team. Act as a team player for cross-functional work with strong interpersonal communication skills.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Biopolymer Physics (e.g. polysaccharides), Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields.

Hands-on experience in spray drying or extrusion.

Extensive knowledge and application of formulations, encapsulation of active molecules, biocompatible materials.

Solid laboratory experimental skills and comfortable with pilot working environment.

For Scientist, fresh ph.D is acceptable; for senior scientist, 2-5 years work experience is required.

Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
