As an initial team member in BlueArc's first local office in China, you will have access to exciting career development opportunities. Job Description This role is part of the core development team that focuses on the back-end development using .NET 4 and SQL Server 2005/8. The team is focused across a number of key technologies including BlueArc's flagship content management system IgnitionSuite as well as the industry leading Sitecore CMS. You will be exposed to all areas of website development including content management, e-commerce, search, social networking, and business workflow. Projects vary in size from a couple of weeks to four months plus. We are looking for a bright individual that has been educated to degree level or above. You will have demonstrated a clear passion for programming that goes beyond your education and career to date. Basic Requirements 1. Computer science degree or similar from a well-recognised university 2. 1 to 3 years software development experience 3. Good English communication skills; written and oral Key Skills 1. Strong .NET 3.5 coding skills (experience with .NET 4.0 is desirable but not essential) 2. Commercial experience of hands-on development for the latest .NET technologies including , , C#.NET, Web Services, WCF, WPF, WF and AJAX 3. Strong Microsoft SQL Server coding skills - Transact-SQL, stored procedure 4. Experience building a variety of public-facing websites 5. Ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously, handle pressure and work with minimum supervision 6. Good understanding of content management systems 7. Good understanding and application of QA practices 8. Good understanding of software development lifecycle You would also benefit from any of the following 1. Microsoft certified professional (MCP, MCAD, MCSD) 2. Familiar with Microsoft Team Foundation Server 3. Good specification and design skills 4. Experience of any Content Management Systems 5.
