BSB is the oldest and largest school in Beijing offering a British style education. We are part of the Nord Anglia Education group, a British organization specializing in education. Being part of the largest provider of educational services in the UK means that we are able to offer our teachers enhanced training and development opportunities through our cooperation with the National College of School Leadership. What we do We have a school culture that promotes respect for others, good manners and promotes self-expression and self-esteem. We accomplish this through the teaching of BSG (Behaviors and Social Graces). In the primary school, we actively reward our students for demonstrating respect for others with ‘marbles’ and teach about these values at assemblies and in PSHE lessons. In the secondary school, students earn merits for respectful behavior. At lunch times, the teachers sit with the students ensuring good table manners. BSB has an international student body. Over 1550 students are enrolled in classes from Pre-school to Year 13. Our representations are from the UK (20%), USA and Canada (20%), Europe (20%), Asian countries (30%) and from remaining areas of the world (10%). We ensure all our students are respectful of one another’s cultural backgrounds and beliefs. Our broad and balanced curriculum soundly develops students’ skills and knowledge across ten subject areas in primary school. In secondary, a range of over eighteen courses are available with IGCSE and A-level offered. These are enriched with music, arts and sports programmes. We were recently inspected by the ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate). We are the only school in Beijing to have an independent school inspection (quite different from an accreditation) listed on the UK Government Department of Education’s accredited international schools list. Our families feel secure in the knowledge that their students are attending an excellent school. The ISI report confirmed that our students are exceptionally polite, well behaved, achieve well academically and have numerous opportunities outside the curriculum. 职位：助教 任职信息： Join us as a teaching assistant The main role of a Teaching Assistant is to offer support and help to the class teachers in all aspects of the classroom. They are also responsible for students on the buses during their journey to and from school. Key tasks and responsibilities: • Be punctual according to school routines and working day • Be able to manage time effectively to support teacher • Prioritise and organise work for effective functioning of classroom • Is in class at 8am/ 8.15am to support teacher • Be punctual for playtime/lunchtime duties • Be responsible for bus duties in ASA and daily school bus. Requirement for this post: • Willing to work with children • Patient • Good language ability both in Chinese and English • Able to solve the problems independently • Able to work in a team work • Able to work under pressure Compensation and Benefit: • Competitive compensation based on the experience, performance and salary will be reviewed yearly. • Social insurance and housing fund as per the labor laws and additional commercial insurance • Entitle the school holidays with full pay, including Christmas holiday, Summer holiday and Easter holiday - up to approximately 3 months per year • Staff bus between downtown and Shunyi campus provided • Free lunch provided every working day, Western and Chinese options available • Transportation allowance • Training opportunities as per teaching schedule Teaching assistants must be vigilant at all times and be prepared to reprimand where necessary.
