Oracle China Development Center (CDC) in ShenZhen now has an opening for a (Senior) Member of Technical Staff. As part of the Server Technologies, you will work together with the team members in the US headquarter to design, develop and maintain a top grade software test system for the famous Oracle JDBC drivers, which are being used by hundreds of thousands of users worldwide. You will have the opportunity to explore the latest technologies in Java, JDBC and the latest version of the Oracle databases. Plus, the opportunity to visit the Oracle headquarter in the Redwood Shores, California for training and face-to-face communication.

JDBC Testing

Job Description:

Oracle China Development Center (CDC) in ShenZhen now has an opening for a Member of Technical Staff. As part of the Server Technologies, you will work together with the team members in the US headquarter and India Development Center (IDC) to design, develop and maintain a top grade software test system for the famous Oracle JDBC drivers, which are being used by hundreds of thousands of users worldwide. You will have the opportunity to explore the latest technologies in Java, JDBC and the latest version of the Oracle databases. Plus, the opportunity to visit the Oracle headquarter in the Redwood Shores, California for training and face-to-face communication.

Required competencies and technical skills:

- Strong understanding of OOP and design patterns

- Strong Java development skills, with solid understanding of advanced Java topics such as multi-threading.

- Strong SQL skills, with deep understanding of relational database model.

- Working knowledge with Linux

- Basic knowledge in white box testing and test automation

- Good written and verbal communication skills in English

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering, especially from a top-tier school

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Thirst for excellence, self-motivation, detail oriented, and reliability

- Ability to act quickly as a point of contact for development/testing problems/emergencies.

- Flexibility to shift priorities based on changing needs.

- Great team player

Nice To Have:

- Perl and UNIX shell programming.

- RDBMS (Oracle preferred)

- JDBC, XML, JUnit, Ant.

- Working or intern experiences in software development and/or white/gray box testing or test automation.
