We are looking for a few exceptional PM's to join our ranks on the SharePoint Manageability team which has the charter to provide for world-class active monitoring, reporting & analytics and self-healing for our SharePoint Online service. We are the eyes and ears of SharePoint Online and are accountable for enabling the entire SharePoint organization to,
1. Quickly and accurately identifying SPO health issues and timely recovering problems with low cost.
2. Be the one-stop shop for accurate, timely and insightful information critical for running our SPO service
We are a team that loves big challenges, works with cool technologies (close collaboration with MSRA) and tackles a broad set of real world online problems (e.g. big data, online scale, rock solid industry leading availability, geo-redundancy, etc.) that is closely tied to Microsoft's profitability. About the position

You would join the team as a Program Manager I or II (depending on experience). As a Program Manager, you would contribute to our SharePoint Manageability initiatives including but not limited to, active monitoring, diagnostics & healing and service intelligence. You would focus on the core system infrastructure of the product including our new scale-out architecture and the framework for service intelligence and telemetry. You will be the voice of SharePoint Manageability and your success will be determined not only by the products that you bring to live but also your ability to impact & influence others on the SharePoint Online and Office 365 initiatives to lower the cost of delivering on our service promise.

To succeed in this role, you must have the ability to dive deep technically into the inner workings of a complex system while at the same time have the ability to surface and help the team understand the bigger picture. You must be a great problem solver and has the ability to impact & influence at all levels. Familiarity with server software architecture, large-scale systems, interface design, and data analytics are a big plus. You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience shipping packaged or commercial software products or running services in a program management or technical product management capacity.

Experience with information retrieval, data logging and mining, and other technology as well as prior management experience will be helpful but not required. You must have great communication and cross-team collaborations skills and experiences working in a distributed, global team is a nice to have.
