About the Nokia Global Graduate Program

Nokia views graduate hiring as a critical part of the company s business transformation and people strategy. The Nokia Global Graduate Program was designed with a recent graduate in mind.

Graduates hired into the Nokia Graduate program generally get to work in two different assignments over the duration of one year; each assignment is 6 months each. Upon assessment, top-performing Graduates will have an opportunity to rotate into a third, international assignment in the United States, Great Britain, Finland, Germany, China or India. After the final (2nd or 3rd) assignment, Graduates move into fixed roles within the company to continue building their career.

Description

The Post. 1 and Post. 2 Global Graduate positions are in Nokia CTO/CIC division, which creates market compatibility through open industry collaboration and standards, and leads Nokia s compatibility and industry collaboration towards industry standards and technical regulation. CIC teams use their recognized world-class expertise in these areas above to enable and develop new business and industry partnering and opportunities. CIC operates as part of the CTO and is closely engaged with Smart Devices, Markets and Mobile Phones operations of Nokia to ensure consistent and highly visible external influence for Nokia on a global scale.

The team you will be joining focuses on China and International standardization.

The chosen candidate will be part of a talented team The main responsibilities of the position include:

Participate in focused standardization organizations meetings and study the meeting documents, on behalf of Nokia

Get deep understanding for Nokia in key standard areas, working with Nokia international standard teams

Analyze the trend of China and international standardization in technology and the impact on the mobile phone industry globally

With technology solution, propose a way for Nokia business need to meet the trend development of China and international standardization in detailed technology fields

Promote the technology solutions to external parties

Location

This position is based in Beijing. The Global Graduate Program candidate will have an opportunity to work on a variety of strategic projects within the Nokia CTO/CIC division.

Qualifications

PhD or Master in computer science or electronics, graduated from high ranking universities

Rich experience in internet software and technologies

0-2 year work experience in research of technology or internet or ICT

Excellent communication and influential stills

Basic business experience is a plus

Fluent English both written and oral, Chinese in written and reading, mandarin

Post. 3 Product Management, Global Graduate

Description

The Product Management Global Graduate position is in Nokia Mobile Phones division which is committed to main Nokia s volume and value leadership in the feature phones space.

In Mobile Phones, Nokia s strategy is to leverage its innovation and strength in growth markets to connect the next billion people to their first Internet and application experience. By providing compelling and affordable, localized mobile experiences, particularly to the emerging markets, our ambition is to bring the next billion online. We will continue the renewal of our Series 40 platform in QWERTY, touch&type, dual SIM, Nokia services, including Maps, Browser, Life Tools, Web apps and Money. We are also investing in the future; developing assets (platform, software, apps), which will bring a modern mobile experience to the mobile phone consumers and enable business opportunities for developers. These investments will be especially focused on growth economies.

The team you will be joining focuses on roadmapping, concepting, development and lifecycle management of feature phones primarily for fast growing emerging markets like Brazil, Russia, India, Indonesia, China and Africa.

The chosen candidate will be part of a talented team of Roadmapping and Concepting Managers, Product Managers and part of a cross-functional Product Program Team developing a concept or an actual product for the target consumer and market. The main responsibilities of this position include:

- Specifying product concepts and product experiences based on a solid knowledge of relevant key markets consumers and customers

- Execute product development in close cooperation with Product Programs, Product Development, Consumer Experiences, Service Lines, Nokia Design, Marketing and the Sales Units

- Enforcement of craftsmanship and quality accountability culture

- Ensure internal sell-in of the product concept

- Work closely with other colleagues in Mobile phones to ensure successful launch and campaign planning
