C++Developing Intern

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Work on objectoriented and/or Java/Web Application product development on Windows and different flavors of UNIX environments.

Interact with Customer Assurance and Customers on product issues.

Understand the customer technical requirements or problems and seek alternative solutions.

Provide fixes for product defects in maintenance and functional releases.

Work with Product Management in enhancing or developing new product functionality.

Feedback to development and quality assurance team for product improvement.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science, EECS or foreign degree equivalent.

Experience on Windows development environment.

Experience on at least one flavor of the UNIX development environments (e.g. Solaris, Linux, AIX, or HP.).

Strong knowledge in Object-Oriented methodologies and architectures.

familiar with C coding.

Strong RDBMS knowledge in at least one database such as Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Informix, or ODBC interface.

Knowledge in Web Application and Java programming.

Knowledge of Windows MFC is a plus.

Knowledge of XML is a plus.

Knowledge of 64-bit programming is a plus.

Strong debugging and problem solving skills.

Ability to learn quickly while applying knowledge effectively.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Willing to work with remote teams in different time zones.

Ability to successfully work under time pressure.

Detail-oriented and well organized.
