Customer Application SpecialistDescription
Dow Microbial Control China team is looking for a results-oriented, dynamic, innovative individual to join our team.
The position will primarily focus on:
Working closely with commercial and marketing counterparts in understanding markets /customer requirements, exploring opportunities and increasing new business for Dow microbial control products.
Developing a deep understanding of microbiological control problems in industrial applications, with a focus on identifying opportunities for industrial biocides. Determination of technological needs and/or opportunities for the application of biocides in industrial applications.
Field implementation of product launches and new applications, including close interaction with customers.
Benchmarking of microbial control products and technologies vis- -vis with customer needs, including evaluation of competitive product performance and competitive actives.
Collaboration with external R&D partners - including academic laboratories, co-suppliers, contract laboratories, and customers - for technology development
Coordination of microbiological laboratory evaluations in support of customers. The candidates will be responsible for developing new methods or employing existing methods to design experiments, analyze data, draw conclusions and recommendations, and document customer reports.
Participation in key technical & professional organizations and symposia targeted at microbial control in various markets.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
Ph.D. in Microbiology or biology related or Master degree with work experiences. A strong background in environmental/industrial microbiology is preferred. A working knowledge of application chemistry is considered a plus.
Position requires excellent interpersonal skills to efficient work with internal counterparts and external customers.
Fluency in English is required
