Orange北京研发中心致力于移动终端，移动互联网服务，新视频体验服务以及无线通信网络技术等领域。

终端创新是Orange 北京研发中心的核心业务之一，涵盖了终端产业链中的多个创新点， 包括终端硬件，手机软件开发和创新设计。在法国电信ODM流程中Orange北京承担了设备的选型和用户交付；而软件团队主要负责集团Android的应用开发和测试；同时我们将在工业设计和终端应用的交互设计加大人员投入。

Main responsibilities:

Bachelor's Degree or above majored in Computer Science or related fields
Strong Object-Oriented programming and design skills
Solid system programming experience with C++

iPhone development engineer
Main responsibilities:

Social TV development engineer
Main responsibilities:
Reporting line:
1. Report to the head of Convergent Service Platform lab
Main activities:
1. Write server-side code for web-based applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly. Should also have a strong understanding of, and practical experience with, Java web application development.
2. Contribute to building our platforms, systems and networking infrastructure using knowledge in distributed systems, and large scale storage systems.
3. Specialist domains: TV portal, TV widget and social TV services development with JavaScript, AJAX and similar technologies, contribute to J2EE platform development
Position requirements:
MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent)
A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
Programming experience in Java (strong OO skills preferred).
Coding skills in Python or Javascript/AJAX, database design and SQL, and/or knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming are a plus.
Fluency in English (reading and writing).

Senior Engineer in 3G wireless protocol/product development
Main responsibilities:

Reporting line:
o Report to the head of Wireless Communications and Networks lab
Main activities:
o Architect and develop PHY layer processing, MAC and LAC protocol stacks for CDMA2000 Femtocell access point in software
o Responsible for system specification, software architecture and sub-module design;
o Lead a small team in code implementation, testing and product optimization
o Some flexibility in assignments may be required.

Position requirements:

BS, MS or PhD in EE or CS is required; candidates with CDMA product development experience are especially welcome.
Proficient in C/C+ and programming Linux Kernel; extensive experience in software architecture and development;
Profound understanding in PHY layer development and/or in MAC protocol stack for CDMA systems and interface between MAC and PHY;
Familiar with 3GPP/3GPP2 standards: CDMA2000/Ev-DO, WCDMA or TD-SCDMA
Familiarity with SIP protocol is preferred

Researcher in IP Network Technology
Main responsibilities:

Main activities:
Orange Labs Beijing is looking for a motivated and talent person to participate in the research of next-generation internet and M2M projects. The main responsibilities include:
o Conduct research and development in the area of next generation internet, IPv6, and M2M projects. Specific topics may include: new naming and addressing schemes, new transport protocols in content-centric networks, telecom network migration to IPv6, efficient routing protocols in wireless sensor networks.
o Design and implement new IPv6 service and application scenarios.
o Develop and design routing protocols in heterogeneous networks
o Prototype/testbed may be needed for proof of the concept.
o Assist in proposing new directions and projects related to next-generation internet, M2M.
o Contribute to the development of international and domestic standards when relevant to business.
o Some flexibility in assignments may be required.

Position requirements:

Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields. New graduates and candidates with 1-3 years of work experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

o Conduct research and development in the area of Internet of Things (M2M) and wireless sensor networks, specific topics may include MAC algorithms for WLAN/WPAN, routing and data transport protocols in wireless sensor networks
o Design and implement platforms and solutions for the particular use case of M2M such as smart metering, home automation, security monitoring
o Novel and innovative research results are expected, publications in major conferences and journals are encouraged.
o Prototype/testbed may be needed for proof of the concept.
o Assist in preparing research proposals.
o Some flexibility in assignments may be required.

Position requirements:

Education background:

Main responsibilities:
Reporting line; Head of Human Computer Interface R&D Unit
Main activities: innovative R&D work on video content search ( video classification / video clustering / video retrieval / ) , video Surveillance , face recognition , speaker recognition, contribute to Orange TV multimedia content search ;
Academic research activities by academic paper publications, patents proposal to increase France Telecom's research reputation
Position Requirement:
Master or above in computer science, electrical engineering or related fields, top level university and research institute PhD is preferred
Strong academic research background on audio and video processing , image processing, speech recognition, speaker recognition etc
Strong research background in video retrieval techniques ( object detection / content detection / high level feature extraction ), all kinds of feature extraction methods from both image and video streams (color, texture, edge, shape, key point SIFT/SURF, motion vector, etc) video structuring such as shot boundary processing, key frame extraction
Strong background in pattern recognition, pattern classification, machine learning algorithms (SVM supporting vector machine) and HMM (Hidden markov model), classifier, clustering algorithm and rank learning methods (such as RankSVM, listnet, etc)
Good knowledge and background of face detection, face recognition and OCR (optical character recognition) from video stream is preferred; experience of combining audio and video information for video processing and retrieval is also preferred,
Good knowledge and experiences in NIST TRECvid and other world-level information retrieval evaluation is preferred
Research capability, publication on world level magazine or conference, and patent filed
