Purpose of the Position
Sybase is recruiting software QA engineers to work on the quality assurance of Sybase products.
Job responsibilities
- Develop test specifications for functional, performance and stress testing.
- Develop the test design and automate the tests if possible. Maintain existing tests and test infrastructure.
- Execute tests, analyze failure, communicate with remote teams to report and resolve issues and defects, track status of issues.
- Follow established Sybase processes.
Technical requirements
- Be able to learn a set of Sybase products and industry technology rapidly.
- Programming skills and experience on one of following programming language: C/C or Java.
- Familiarity with relational database and experience with one of following relational database systems: Sybase, Oracle, DB 2 or SQL Server.
- Knowledge and experience with different platforms/OSs: Unix/Linux and Windows.
- Knowledge and experience with Shell scripting - preferred
- Knowledge and experience with scripting language - preferred: Perl, TCL, Python
- Knowledge and experience with one of GUI testing tools - preferred: SilkTest, QTP(WinRunner)
Education and related experience
Software Engineer QA
- Major in Completer Science or related field.
- MS/MSCS postgraduate in 2011
- Strong English communication skills.
