DW&PS Lab Technicians
Description:
This opening is for TT or contract TT (job level is based on skills) with polymer/organic synthesis/material sciences background. Dow Asia Pacific Water & Process Solution R&D is looking for one Technologist to support projects.
The candidate will be mainly responsible for basic lab support for our effort of macromolecular synthesis and application projects. The applicant must be able to independently manage their daily lab responsibilities, trouble shoot basic laboratory processes and procedures, conduct/communicate the experiment plan and the data analysis.
Good verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
1) Assist research professionals to conduct experiments, collect data, and provide technical solutions to macromolecular synthesis and application projects.
2) Plan and run experiments and conduct tests independently in support of relevant research projects.
3) Generate high quality and reliable data and recording lab data. Compiles and interprets the results of experiments and documents in English.
4) Search and contact with suppliers for chemicals & reagents, equipments, PPE and general lab supplies. And for certain equipment setup, calibration and maintenance.
5) Maintain equipment in proper working condition, safe operation of chemical and laboratory equipment, safe disposal of lab waste and utilizing Good Laboratory Practices, and ensure EHS compliance in laboratory.
6) Assist research professionals to conduct product scale up and application pilot trial in customer site.

Qualifications:
-B.S. degree or junior college in Organic chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Materials Engineering.
-Prefer more than 2 years relevant working experience in an industrial/ commercial/ academic laboratory or R&D center..
-Hands-on experience with instruments/equipments is desired.
--Scale up experience is prefered
-Capable of reading instrument manual and technical literature in English and good discipline in writing experimental summary and reports.
-Strong sense of responsibility and hard working ethics.
-Good team player with ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally).
-Computer skills (excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

水处理与过程解决方案实验室技术员要求：

能够熟练阅读英文仪器和设备操作手册，科学文摘。 同时能够熟练用英文书写实验总结和报告。
遵循实验室规程, 实验记录完备, 能够撰写简单实验报告。
工作认真负责，有责任心，注重实验室安全。
能够用英语进行书面和口语交流。
