As a Corporate Finance summer analyst, you will participate in assignments that may include, but are not limited to :
Performing financial valuation, discounted cash flow and multiples based analyses
Building and using financial models
Preparing presentation materials and participating in deal pitches
Conducting industry and product research
Executing client transactions from start to closing
Summer Analyst As a summer analyst in Corporate Finance, you will spend 8-10 weeks working with top-tier professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank. Through training, hands-on learning opportunities, mentoring and feedback, and numerous development opportunities, you can advance toward your career goals. You assume significant responsibility right from the start by participating in live transactions and working closely with experienced senior professionals. Throughout the internship, summer analysts attend training classes, presentations and social events, all geared to increase exposure to all aspects of the firm. This is an ideal way for you to meet the people who make J.P. Morgan a success, to experience our unique culture and to learn about our full-time opportunities. Our summer analysts become primary candidates for our full-time program. Start date 8-10 weeks over June - August 2011
Qualifications
We are looking for BA candidates who posses the following :
Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills
Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
An ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions
Are adaptable, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team
A well-rounded academic background with coursework in finance or economics is recommended
Fluency in English is essential
Fluency of an Asian language is preferred (Mandarin, Korean, Bahasa, Cantonese and Thai)

You work with trading and research teams to provide comprehensive client coverage, including fulfilling client requests for market updates, executing client orders and providing institutional clients with information about specific securities. You may also provide marketing ideas and help initiate transactions. You may be placed in a commodity, credit, equity, fixed income, or foreign exchange product group. Trading : As an Analyst in Trading, you may help senior traders cover institutional accounts and make markets in your group's particular range of products. You will assist the senior traders in managing risk, liquidity and exposure and you may support all aspects of the trading desk: pre-trade analysis, research on index constituent changes, inbound and outbound trade processing and the design of optimal strategies for large trades. Tracking supply and demand, you constantly evaluate market developments in order to give clients accurate product information. You may be placed in a commodity, credit, equity, fixed income, or foreign exchange product group. Structuring / Derivatives : As an Analyst in Structuring / Derivatives you work on particular themes that have been identified by the Marketers which may lead to new derivatives solutions. Our structuring team is responsible for the financial engineering behind the solutions we tailor for Investors. You may be place in a commodity, credit, equity, fixed income, or foreign exchange product group.
Qualifications
We are looking for BA or advanced degree candidates who meet the following requirements :
