(Junior) Research Analyst in Climate Change, McKinsey Knowledge Center China 麦肯锡公司 McKinsey Company

Company background:
McKinsey Knowledge Center China (McKC China), the research arm of McKinsey's Greater China Office and part of McKinsey's global Knowledge Network, is looking for talent to fill out our (Junior) Research Analyst vacancy in Climate Change, which includes topics like carbon economics, energy efficiency, water, bio-systems, clean technologies, and green strategy.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
l Based in Shanghai, provide research support on Climate Change to consulting teams worldwide looking at the Chinese, Asian and global markets
l Articulate, scope, and prioritize research needs, and identify and gather relevant company, industry, and economic information using a broad spectrum of appropriate sources
l Provide synthesis, insight, and practical implications within tight deadlines, via end products in the form of single exhibits, written summaries, basic fact packs, and spreadsheets
l Conduct interviews with regulators and companies and share insights
l Serve as a thought partner, leveraging internal and external networks, to engage in team problem solving, share evolving business trends and best practices, and contribute to knowledge creation initiatives
l Continue to build knowledge of Climate Change, as well as to identify, review, and maintain information sources and databases

EXPECTED CREDENTIALS
l Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin (both oral and written)
l Bachelor and/or master's degree from top universities in related fields
l 1-3 years work experience in related industries
l Solid understanding of economic, financial and general business concepts and terminology
l Experience in conducting business or academic research
l Comprehensive computer skills including database searching, power point, word processing, spreadsheet analysis and online research
l Good people skills, team orientation, and professional
