Job Title: Application Engineer

Job Qualification:

1. Education

- BS or MS degree in computer science preferred or equivalent qualifications.

2. Experience

- 2+ years *NIX Administration and Application Administration,

- Performance, Scalability, Reliability engineering background, demonstrated experience of developing tools and tests to try and isolate and detect performance, scalability, reliability issues.

- 1-2 years of experience in development of C++ and Java

- 1-2 years relevant technical support / software develop experience preferred.

- Customer support / service environment preferred

- 1-2 years of web application development experience, strong javascript background and CSS knowledge. Be proficient in at least one of an existing MVC framework, with experiences of ruby frameworks as RoR, or python frameworks as django is a plus.

3. Knowledge

- Excellent knowledge and application of commonly used Unix concepts, practices, and procedures, excellent knowledge of shell scripting, Python/Ruby scripting

- Knowledge of enterprise search engine including familiarity with key issues, design processes, products, applications.

- Knowledge of our customersˇ needs & requirements.

4. Skills

- Proficiency in PC & MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

- Proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and conversational).

- Good customer relationship management skills.

- Good problem solving ability.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Potential to work as a specialist for our products and work with the sales team to provide the full technical support to our key customers.

1. Primary Functions

- To work on some research projects of core technology with software engineers on a project basis.

- Technical support for China sales team.

- Technical consultant and problem solver.

- Preliminary contact for internal functional teams of R&D, engineering & quality.

2. Responsibilities

- To provide application and product know-how support.

- To provide field engineering support to customers / distributors for design-in the proper products in various target applications.

- To troubleshoot application problem in customer site, and failure analyzing as well.

- To take the lead of new product launch promotion activity through customer visit.

- To provide product/application training to sales team and distributors.

- To design, develop nice UI to our web applications.

- To work on some research projects with engineers on a project basis.

- Software installation, configuration, development, optimization and integration.

- Define capacity and performance requirements working with customers. Collaborate with internal and external technical resources to design the appropriate application architecture to meet defined requirements.

- Work with iZENEsoft customers, getting them using enterprise search engine product. You will have good communications skills and be able to represent the company in a professional manner at all times

- Travel to customer sites. You need to have a flexible attitude, and be comfortable in the presence of customers and pressured situations.

- Establish close technical relationships with customer teams to ensure quick and efficient resolution of issues.

- Identify and analyze all reported customer issues, solve technical issues, and communicate issues with R&D teams.

3. Career development

Application Engineers provide key technical support to the sales force in order to secure crucial contracts. The role necessitates close interaction with potential clients to describe iZENEsoft's technology to a varied audience. This is an extremely challenging undertaking that requires a quick learner, able to apply excellent problem solving skills under time pressure. You will get to know the technology inside-out and need to be highly motivated to get the job done to an exemplary standard.
