IDS (China) 2010 Management Trainee RecruitmentIDS, as one member of the Li & Fung Group, provides our customers with a menuof Integrated-Distribution Services in three core businesses in Asia, US and UK:Logistics, Distribution and Manufacturing. IDS Management Trainee Program waslaunched in 2007 to nurture and develop IDS’ future leaders and managers.1. Introduction of the Management Trainee ProgramThe purpose of the Management Trainee Program is to build a pool of supervisoryor management resource for the company within 18 months of the traineeship.
The traineeship is an 18-month accelerated program.
Trainees will be assigned to a business service throughout the duration, but inthe course of the traineeship, will cross into other operations as part of thelearning process.
Trainees will be exposed to a variety of learning experiences ranging fromclassroom training, on-the-job supervision, hands-on experience, project work,to the carrying-out of day-to day operational tasks.
At all times, the trainee will be under the care of a Supervisor (for work-relatedtasks), as well as a Mentor (for matters relating to the trainee’s overall wellbeing).2. Selection ProcessThe selection process consists of 4 stages:Stage 1: First-round interview by HRStage 2: Short-listed candidates will be required to complete an on-linebehavioral assessmentStage 3: Short-listed candidates will be invited to a final panel interviewStage 4: Final candidates will receive the offer from IDS3. Selection CriteriaAll candidates with the required characteristics and academic qualificationsdescribed below will satisfy the criteria of the Management Trainee Program.Required Characteristics
Desires to develop career in Logistics or Distribution industry
Professional in executing tasks & assignments
Able to deal with ambiguity and change
Able to work independently as well as in a team
Possesses personal humility and willing to learn
Communicative and has strong business acumen
Has demonstrated strong leadership and managerial qualitiesAcademic Qualifications
Graduate with a bachelor or master degree
Preferably majoring in any one of the following subject areas - Supply ChainManagement, Logistics, Engineering, Management Information System andBusiness Administration
GPA: above 3.0
Proficiency in English
