PepsiCo is one of the world's largest food and beverage companies, with 2008 annual revenues of more than $43.3 billion. The company employs approximately 198,000 people worldwide, and its products are sold in approximately 200 countries. Its principal businesses include: Frito-Lay snacks, Pepsi-Cola beverages, Gatorade sports drinks, Tropicana juices and ***r foods.

In 1965, Pepsi-Cola merged with snack food giant Frito-lay, and was officially renamed PepsiCo. Inc. Since then, snack food has become an integral part of the company's core business. PepsiCo bought the world-famous Tropicana fruit juice company in 1998. By 2000, PepsiCo acquired SoBe and began production of a series of healthy drinks of natural flavors. In 2001, PepsiCo officially merged with the ***r Oats Company.

 Beverages in China 饮料业务在中国

In 1981, PepsiCo became one of the first American companies to enter China when it signed a contract with the Chinese government to set up a bottling plant in Shenzhen. Thus began PepsiCo s investment in the country. In 1995, PepsiCo Investment (China) Limited was established, with Shanghai as its headquarters.

PepsiCo has invested more than RMB8 billion in establishing 22 drink bottling plant and one concentrate plant in 21 cities all over China.

百事已在中国21个城市设立了22家饮料灌装厂,1家浓缩液厂,投资总额超过80亿元人民币。

PepsiCo produces and markets below products in China: Pepsi-Cola, Mirinda, 7UP, Mountain Dew, Gatorade, Dole, Ice Pure Water, Tropicana, Herbal Life, etc.

百事公司在中国经营的主要品牌包括:百事可乐、美年达、七喜、激浪、佳得乐、都乐果汁、冰纯水、果缤纷(纯果乐)果汁、草本乐等等。

PepsiCo has established dozens of joint ventures, cooperative and wholly owned enterprises in China and is doing business with thousands of Chinese enterprises and signs thousands of business contracts annually. The company directly employs more than 26,000 staff in Greater China region and creates 150,000 job opportunities via its providers, suppliers and distributors. Greater China region now is the largest beverage market of PepsiCo International.
