Company: Global R&D centre, leading FMCG company

Job title: Statistician

Report to: Senior Manager

Location: Shanghai

Responsibility:

Provide lead statistics support to consumer research and clinical team including design of experiments and data analysis

Develop and implement data analysis tools and capabilities required within consumer research and clinical teams in partnership with other global teams and external partners

Work with internal consumer research/clinical experts to design and develop consumer and clinical studies for company product

Plan data collection methods for specific studies, and determine the types and sizes of sample groups to be used

Analyze, interpret and present statistical data from consumer and clinical studies, identify relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could affect the results of consumer and clinical studies

Use advanced data modeling techniques where relevant to analyze data across studies to identify relevant insights/trends. Communicate and report relevant study information

Requirements:

Master or PhD. Preferably have 2-3 years experience in data analysis/modeling. Fresh graduates with some project experience could also be considered.

Advanced statistics with proficiency in statistical tools such as SAS, JMP

Working knowledge of data visualization and data modelling tools

Proficiency in experimental study design

Working knowledge of statistical treatment of human/consumer data and related techniques

Strong oral and written communication skills in English

Major in basic sciences ( mathematics, statistics, data modelling)

Some experience in bio-statistics, clinical/experimental design is preferred.
