SonicWALL is a recognized global leader in the small and medium business markets and its solutions are deployed in distributed enterprise environments, government, retail point-of-sale and healthcare segments as well as through service providers.
SonicWALL Shanghai was established Sept 2006 and is a fully owned subsidiary of SonicWALL, located at Fudan Science Park, Shanghai. We have multiple opens in following positions.

Job Title 1:
UTM Tech Support Engineer (Level1)
Responsibilities:
Receive escalated and technically complex customer reported issues and maintain the ownership of the issue until it is completely resolved.
Resolve customer reported issues while working closely with the Engineering, SE and other cross functional teams and provide feedback to the Engineering for improving the product quality and reliability.
Setup the test environments as necessary for replication of the customer reported issues and provide the documentation on these setups to the Engineering teams.
Ensure that the work performed meets the quality within acceptable time schedules and meets the customer commitments while working with the Technical Support team members and management, Engineering and other cross functional teams.
Work closely with the Engineering and the Product Marketing teams on the New Technology introductions and remain technically competent with all the SonicWALL products.
Requirements:
Ability to ensure that overall operations run smoothly and to achieve/exceed the total company commitment to customer satisfaction goals is required
Strong understanding of LAN & WAN Network topologies, in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP Protocol Suite, LAN/WAN access technologies, Internet Security Architectures and Routing Protocols
Experience in Security Engineering in heterogeneous environments involving both Windows Networks including Active Directory, Radius, Digital Certificates and various flavors of Linux
Work independently and also in a team with strong trouble shooting and diagnostic skills applicable for medium to enterprise networks
Candidate must have a strong customer orientation and should possess an excellent work ethic
Education and Experience
Requires BSCS/EE or equivalent, Masters Degree preferred
Minimum 1+ years of experience in supporting the products related to Network Security
1 + years of Support experience in Internet security products involving any of the technologies like Stateful Firewalls, VPN's, PKI, Anti-Virus, IPS, SSL and other security products
Recent experience with the implementation, configuration and management of network security products ( Firewalls, IPS, VPNs ) and also Internet devices like Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Application Proxies, etc., is required. Work experience relating to supporting wireless products 802.11 a/b/g is considered a plus
Preference will be given to candidates with professional certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, SonicWALL, ICS2, etc.
Good Written and Oral communication skills in Mandarin and English.
Job Title 2:
SSL-VPN Product Support Engineer
Responsibilities:
Provide all levels of email/phone technical support for Aventail appliance products
Work directly with Aventail customers, partners, and sales technical staff to provide technical support services
Provide support for all Aventail products in all stages of deployment, evaluation and post purchase
Respond to/status customers according to the publish Aventail response time / service commitments
Set up lab environments and conduct testing, documenting the required steps to reproduce customer issues
Manage assigned support tickets to insure timely escalation and resolution of issues and provide required status to customers. Take ownership of assigned support issues, including "misdirected issues" when reported by the customer and internally route to appropriate Aventail support group.
Insure support tickets documentation is clear, concise, and complete. Ticket should accurately reflect the technical issue and resolution, as wells as all communications on the issue. Ticket should reflect performance against response time commitments.
Document all hours expended on support issue in Onyx ticket. Recorded support hours should accurately reflect hours worked
Create new Aventail Knowledge Base articles for known issues/new issues/work around as they are identified, submit articles to KB review team for publishing
Exhibit strong customer service focus, respond to customers in a timely fashion, keep customers informed of issue status as per Aventail published commitments, communicate clearly and effectively, and present a positive attitude toward customers even when they do not.
Actively share knowledge and experience with other team members, utilize fellow team members and other teams to resolve issues, actively promote a positive "team oriented" environment.
Coordinate between Aventail Development Teams and customer for escalated issues, gather escalation data as per documented procedures, monitor assigned escalations for progress, apply work around as provided by Development
Participate in mentoring and training new team members
Follow Aventail support policies and procedures as instructed/documented
Providing Consulting Services to Aventail Appliance customers (as needed/contracted)
Requirment:
experience providing Network or Application support in Windows NT or Unix environment.
Strong TCP/IP networking experience, including working knowledge of standard network troubleshooting tools/commands and ability to analyze log files, traces, dumps, etc.
A strong knowledge of Unix systems and systems management, preferably in some form of Linux (Debian ideal)
Working knowledge of two or more of the following technologies: encryption/SSL certificate management, authentication (LDAP, RADIUS, SecurID, Active Directory), SSL VPN/Proxy, Firewall administration / ACL Management, or HTML/Java/Java-script
Experience working with directly with customers in troubleshooting one or more of the following technologies; Networking, Firewalls, authentication, or server installation
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, neutral accent preferred
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a technical team-oriented environment and experience in coordinating with Development Teams
A passion for delivering superior customer service, excellent customer diplomacy skills, and a strong sense of problem ownership
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities including good time management skills.
Ability to work daytime and graveyard shifts
Ability to work weekend "on call" up to twice a month as required.
Working knowledge of support ticketing systems.
Minimum Education Qualifications
Bachelor in Computer Science or other relevant technical degree; or 3Y+work experience in Windows NT or Unix/Linux administration or Tier 3 level support.

Job Title 3:
Software Engineer: Linux Application Developer (Entry-Level)
Responsibilities:
Design and develop SonicWALL's data backup solutions
Write design and test documents,
Work with the QA team to resolve software bugs
Support other teams to resolve customer issues
Requirements:
BS or MS, in CS, EE or related field
Expert knowledge of Linux: file systems, drivers, network.
programming experience in C/C++, preferably in the Linux environment.
Deep understanding of TCP/IP and knowledgeable in network security
Fluent in English
Job Title 4:
Software QA Engineer - Continuous Data Protection (Junior)
Specific Requirements
Excellent analytical and technical skills.
Experience working with Microsoft Server Applications such as Active Directory, Exchange, & SQL.
Familiar with Windows mail clients such as Microsoft Outlook/Outlook-Express.
Experience testing applications on MS-Windows & LINUX
Prior experience with Network backup and restore product is a big plus.
Working knowledge of SMTP, LDAP is highly desirable.
Test automation experience. Familiarity with C# & Perl is preferred.
Experience in defining test requirements and test methodologies, and setting up the required test lab and equipment.
Proven track record of developing test plans from engineering specifications and product marketing documents.
Ability to track defects from discovery through resolution.
Detail oriented with consideration of all aspects of the testing cycle.
Expertise in exploratory testing techniques.

General Requirements
Team player with positive attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Must have a "can-do" attitude and be self-directed in a fast paced engineering environment.
Job Title 5:
Senior Embedded Software Developer
Responsibilities:
Design and develop new features for SonicWALL's Internet security products and solutions
Write design and test documents,
Work with the QA team to resolve software bugs
Support other teams to resolve customer issues
Requirements:
BS or MS, in CS, EE or related field
working experience on RTOS, such as VxWorks or Linux.
Deep understanding of TCP/IP and knowledgeable in IPSec, OSPF, RIP, VLAN, DHCP, SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS and/or similar networking protocols and concepts
Good programming skills in C
Good understanding of the challenges of network security
Fluent in English
Job Title 6:
Senior Software Automation Engineer
SummaryThe candidate should have deep understanding on QA methodologies and hands-on experiences on network device and/or GUI automations.
Requirements
BS or MS, in CS, EE or related field
Programming experiences with Perl and Tcl/Tk
Administration level skills on Linux and Windows operating systems
Familiar with TCP/IP protocols
Experiences with networking device testing, such as switch, router, and firewalls
Good English communication skills
Programming experiences with other languages are plus: C/C++, Selenium, and Ruby Watir
Responsibilities
Develop automation test cases using Perl, Tcl/Tk, and other languages when necessary
Build and maintain automation test beds that including networking devices, Linux, and Windows machines
Keep tracking automation progress and automation results, troubleshoot automation failures, and work with QA and developers on reporting product defects
Work closely with automation manager to build up the team
