About Wall Street Concepts
WSC provides products and services that help the investors and financial institutions comply with the tax reporting laws and regulations with regard to securities investments. We offers a full outsourcing solution for the production of payee statements and IRS returns as well as solutions for specific asset class information reporting requirements.
Job Descriptions
The Data Analyst is responsible for obtaining and reviewing data from a variety of public databases, published sources and outside firms. This information must be reviewed to determine whether certain financial instruments are qualified for coverage by WSC’s various services and, in the case of distributions and accruals of income, test the data for integrity. Relationships with outside suppliers must be cultivated and maintained. Also, a working knowledge of proprietary applications and off the shelf office applications is required. Depending on which product an analyst is working on, the following specific responsibilities can apply.

· Establish relationships with bond issuers, trustees, administrator, mutual funds and Real Estate Investment Trust to obtain new issue and ongoing distribution information.

· Use proprietary software to review, evaluate and add data to WSC’s database.

· Prioritize data collection efforts to optimize the value of WSC’s services to its clients by using internal reports and database queries.

· Identify and resolve data discrepancies through research and contact with data suppliers.

· Review new offering circulars to establish the proper tax classification of new issues and:

o Determine purchase price allocation for structured products;

o Conclude income sources and allocation for tax reporting on structured products.

· Establish the terms of structured product determination events.

· Review IRS forms 8281 in support WSC’s contract with the IRS for Publication 1212.

· Investigate financial market events that impact the disposition of securities covered by WSC’s services. These include bond remarketing, violation of pricing thresholds, capital changes and new issuance.

· Coordinate with the operation group in New York on data process and validation.

Job Requirements
· Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting field.

· Basic knowledge on various financial instruments, including fixed income securities, mutual funds, equity, structured product securities, mortgage backed securities, and derivatives.

· Excellent English reading, writing, and speaking skills.

· Basic Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Access.
