Department Description:
IBM WebSphere Adapter is one of the core product in IBM SOA (Service-oriented architecture) WebSphere foundation family, which provides the bidirectional connectivity services to various enterprise information systems (EIS), like ERP, CRM, HR, Database and etc. IBM WebSphere Adapters are based on the standard specifications and can be used in multiple runtime environments and integration servers, including WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Message Broker and etc. It speeds and simplifies the development of enabling connectivity service for legacy EIS in SOA projects. And also, IBM WebSphere Adapter provides a development toolkit and foundation classes to help customers to develop their own adapters for specific EIS. IBM China Development Lab is the important part of the world wide development organization, who takes the full ownership of 5 adapters (Siebel, JDE, PeopleSoft, Oracle-EBS, JDBC). And CDL team is also responsible for the development of Adapter Foundation Classes/Migration and FVT/SVT for the whole adapter family products. Now, development and testing regular positions are open for application, in which you will have exciting experience of working with various Enterprise Information Systems and WebSphere Runtime Environments, thereby gaining the wonderful career.

Job Role 1 - Developer/Senior Developer (Vacancy 11, band 6/7/8):
Job Responsibilities ->
- Responsible for Adapters/toolings design, coding and unit test to the new release product.
- Work with the QA team to review the test plans and test cases.
- Solve problems and fix Defects to the previously released Adapters/Components.
- Understands, efficiently executes and recommends new approaches to existing software development processes and procedures.
- May lead a small team for Adapters/toolings requirements assessing, sizing and architecture discussion.
- May involve in WebSphere cross-product development and participating technical communities/initiatives.
Job Requirements ->
- 1-5 years of software development experience on large scale software project and entire software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on programming skills with Java and Eclipse.
- Rich development experience on Java/J2EE/JCA/Web applications.
- Capable of effectively communicating and negotiating within and across world wide teams.
- Skills of XML, JMS, BPEL, Web Services, WSDL, SOAP, SCA and SDO is a big plus.
- Experience on WebSphere Application Server and EIS (Siebel, JDE, Oracle, PeopleSoft, DB2) is a big plus.
- Skills in ClearCase and ClearQuest, CMVC is a plus.
- Skills on various operating Systems including AIX, Linux and Windows is a plus.
- Good team player to work with people from different disciplines: Support, QA, Technical Writers and etc.
- Good Written/Oral English and Chinese.

Job Role 2 - Tester/Senior Tester(Vacancy 8, band 6/7/8):
Job Responsibilities ->
- Responsible for assuring quality of Adapters/toolings from independent QA view.
- Testing of Adapters/toolings in a creative technical/end-users perspective.
- Develop testing tool and automation scripts to make testing effective.
- Involved in products design by providing customer centered view.
- May involve customer service as products expert.
Job Requirements ->
- Having experience of one of the following programming language: Java, C++, C#.
- Comprehensive fundamental knowledge in computer science.
- Learning fast, Think different.
- Passion, Curiosity, Imagination and Responsibility.
- Knowledge and experience on J2EE is a big plus.
- Knowledge on DB and unix/linux system is a plus.
- Fluent Written/Oral English and Chinese.
