Job Summary

Software Engineer responsible for participation in design,
prototype and implementation of the next generation SAN
storage features. This will include ongoing development
and maintenance of associated utilities for SCSI and Fiber
Channel drivers. Requires at least 2 years experience
developing in C language as well as a bachelor or masters
degree in computer science, electrical engineering,
or computer engineering. Responsibilities include all
areas of the software development process from planning and
milestone development to architectural discussion to final
implementation and code delivery. Communication skills must
be above average to convey status to the department as well
as ideas and solutions to the Sun community at large.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communication with both inside and outside the department
for coordination with product delivery of both new features
as well as customer issues.
- Assistance in Planning and Milestone development for SAN
storage software, especially utilities for Fibre Channel
and iSCSI software stack.
- Ongoing development and maintenance of SAN storage software.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
- Strong C programming skill.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking Protocol or Fibre Channel
standards.
- Knowledge of SCSI Storage.
- Familiar in engineering work in Solaris or other Unix like OS.
- General Unix or Linux administrative skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor or higher degree.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
- 2+ years experience programming in the C and Java language
in Solaris or other Unix like OS.
- Onboard before the end of Mar. 2008
