Quantitative/Business Analyst Intern
An intern is sought to assist in both quantitative and business analysis. The applicant should have a strong background and interest in statistics, econometrics, operations research or some other quantitative discipline, have good analytical and research skills, and be fluent in both spoken and written English.

Duties can include the following:
Documentation of client requirements and other business analysis tasks
Putting together readable background papers on business and technical topics
Documentation of user manuals and similar documents
Translation of documents between Chinese and English
Formulation of practical problems as statistical/mathematical models
Formulation of economic and operational models
Statistical analysis and data mining
The solution of mathematical problems
Simulation modeling

The following skills are required for the internship:
A degree in a quantitative discipline such as econometrics, statistics or mathematics
Knowledge of finance or economics an advantage
Experience in statistical analysis and/or mathematical modeling an advantage
Use of software packages to solve quantitative problems
Fluency in written English and a good command of both conversational and written English
Ability and interest to quickly learn technical material

It uses best practice software/systems engineering practices in delivering solutions, and prides itself with the intellectual rigor it applies to all the activities it undertakes. CLIENTELE & RECENT ENGAGEMENTS

DeciSci’s initial engagements will be including the following:

- Application development outsourcing from Tjurunga in:
o Multiagent simulation of financial markets; and
o Spatially-based multiagent simulation of pedestrian movements in precincts;
- International standards for sensor webs, as technical supporter for Decisioneering for the South Korean SWRRC (Surface Water Resource Research Center);
- Working together with Decisioneering for scoping study for a Water Resource Observation Network for Australia’s premier research organization, CSIRO; and
- Advice on Antarctic eScience and Sensor Webs for the Australian Antarctic Division, Australian Department of the Environment. 不详
