Freewheel is a new start up company based on Silicon Valley, CA, invested by Battery Venture,creating the technology platform for the future of online video advertising. It will enable both owners of video content and video distributors togrow and monetize their online audience through online video advertising. As increased online content selection and control shifts to consumers, the result is a drastic increase in complexity of management and control by the content owners and distributors. Our system solves this pressing need which is not being served by any of the existing advertising management systems.

We e looking for excelllent engineers with Flash/ActionScript skills and solid Computer Science backgroud in Beijing R&D center. Both experienced and fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Job responsibilities:

1) Designing and developing client integration SDKs including runtime libraries, example/reference video players.
2) Ensuring documentation is correct and up to date
3) Developing test frameworks and test cases for internal use
4) Developing test tools/frameworks for clients using the SDK

Requirements:
1) Computer science or closely related degree
2) Solid understanding of core internet technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics, HTTP, etc.
3) Solid knowledge OO concepts and demonstrated ability in an OO Language (C++, C#, Java, etc. N.B. This is not a “C++ position” or a “Java position” or a “C# position”)
4) Ability to think creatively to solve problems within the constraints imposed by browsers, scripting languages (Flash, JS, etc) customers existing systems, etc.
5) Ability to work independently as well as with direction from engineering in US. Excellent written and spoken english。

Major Pluses:

1) Experience with Flash/ActionScript (2 or 3 year)
2) Experience with Flash IDE and Debugger
3) Significant experience with JavaScript (beyond a simple form validation or alert box, but serious javascript programming)
4) Experience with online advertising systems is more prefer.

As a member of our quality assurance automation team, you will work closely with
product management and engineering teams to design, code, test, maintain and su
pport QA automation test suite for our dynamic video advertising and content ser
ving systems. You will collaborate with other team members to jointly design and
deliver solutions to ensure the quality of our software products.

Required experience

* Strong hands-on experience in testing tools/frameworks such as QTP, Cruise
Control, LoadRunner
* Solid knowledge and experience in Perl, Python, Shell or other scripting l
anguage
* Solid PL/SQL programming experience, MySQL or Oracle preferred
* Solid HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax knowledge
* Familiar with Flash and/or other video delivery tools
* Strong reading and writing skills in English
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
* 2-5 years web related design and development work experience
