Position title: Regional Enterprise Category Team Leader/Manager Report to: Global Category Team Manager Location: Wai Gaoqiao, Shanghai CTC, China

Major Job Responsibilities

Develop category strategies that create competitive advantage for the PBU s and capture value for Delphi

Identify/acquire PBU and Corporate business requirements

Participate in relevant PBU eng. future direction strategy groups

Develop and maintain robust category strategy by region based on and in line with global category/sub-category strategy

Engage with engineering and PBU staff to ensure link & leverage, supply base optimization, and eye of the needle achievement

Qualify/select/approve suppliers for approved supplier list/PBU/Segment

Review/communicate category plan with PBU and GSM leadership and define and adhere to the refresh cycle

Lead development of the Regional supply base to meet PBU & corporate needs & requirements

Identify and develop suppliers for emerging technology and current and future business needs and support early sourcing

Support supplier optimization plan by category

Develop plan to attain lowest upfront costs/ideal value stream performance and actively work the Toyota/Honda model

Lead Regional supplier relationship management

Build and maintain Supplier relationships for major cross PBU suppliers, leading major cross-PBU negotiations as required

Support negotiations of corporate-wide supplier contracts including payment terms and Master Terms & Conditions w/ PBU support

Monitor supplier performance and assessment; reevaluate capabilities

Create, lead and monitor supplier development/improvement plans (executed by division)

Actively participate in GCT meetings & lead regional execution

Lead and manage regional category team

Ensure consistent execution of standard process

Promote cost mgmt activities to ensure maintenance and use of cost standards and appropriate treatment of supplier-specific cost models

Coordinate technical lead & supplier interface resources to continually develop supply base and understand market trends/changes

Be the category expert center of expertise

Acquire and apply intimate knowledge of economic, business, technology and competitive trends

Demonstrate tech/ product knowledge & support buyer certification

Ensure active technical integration and leadership to commonize specifications and parts serve as engineering liaisons

Guide PBU buyers on supplier relationships

Qualifications:



Bachelor Degree or above in Electrical/Electronics field or related

About 4 years related experience

Empowered decision maker/relationship-builder with high integrity

History of managing ambiguity to define objectives and drive accountability

Expertise and network in related market to access best industry practice, industry trends, and supply/demand and thorough understanding of PBU present and future needs

Superior oral and written communication & selling skills

Ability to execute and be involved actively on the floor with sleeves rolled up to develop cost/quality improvements with PBU s and suppliers

Possess significant category expertise (ideally indicated by category certification ) to work knowledgeably and persuasively with suppliers, business line and engineering leadership

Ability to create and promote best in class category strategies by integrating market with Delphi PBU objectives to achieve collaborative supply chain performance

Skills to analyze supplier financial information and determine manufacturing capability from go to the spot assessment

Manufacturing and Purchasing process expertise; coaching/mentoring skills

Commitment to the Toyota/Honda model of purchasing and experience working up front with suppliers to attain ideal value stream performance

Job Title : Category Team Support Engineer Report to: Regional Category Team ManagerLocation : Wai Gaoqiao, Shanghai CTC, China

Major Responsibilities :

Support Regional Category Team Managers to identify and assess potential suppliers in China and do benchmarking

Work with Product Business Units to understand and collect needs & requirements

Actively Participate in Regional Category Team meetings and work

Major Job Qualifications/Education:

Bachelor s degree in Engineering related subjects

Intern experience in Sourcing or Supplier Management will be an advantage

Strong interest to grow career in Supply Management

Absolutes of ethics and integrity

Strong analytical, interpersonal, interviewing and presentation skills

Excellent computer skills such as MS Excel, Pivot Tables, Macros and MS Words and Powerpoint

Willing to travel up to 50% of the time (mostly in China)

Language : Proficient in English, additional language speaking capability will be a good asset.
