Ambarella is a fables semiconductor company headquartered in Santa Clara, CA with offices in Hsinchu, Taiwan and Shanghai, China.

Position: Software Engineer

Job Description:

Software Engineer will work in Ambarella Shanghai engineering team to develop Ambarella SoC based solution. He or She may be responsible for the following tasks:

1) Develop and maintain middleware running on ARM+Liniux platform.

2) Develop and maintain Linux drivers, which include USB / Ethernet Controller / AV codec and so on.

3) Develop and maintain embedded WEB application for IP based products.

4) Research video/image processing and Pattern Recognition algorithms to develop motion object detection and tracking related functions.

Requirements:

General Requirement for Software Engineer:

1) Self motivated, strong sense of team work

2) Excellent programming skills in C/C++

3) Good understanding of embedded development, and experience with ARM +Linux and GNU cross tool chain

4) Knowledge with CS and EE related theory and technique

5) Smart and good communication

6) Self sufficient in written and spoken English

Specific Requirement for Task 1):

1) Good understanding of pipe/filter software architecture and OOD

2) Knowledge with Video / Audio encoding/decoding and streaming

Specific Requirement for Task 2):

1) Experience with Linux driver development

2) Basic knowledge with hardware

3) Basic programming skill in ARM assembly language

Specific Requirement for Task 3):

1) Experience with web design and CGI development

2) Familiar with B/S mode development

3) Knowledge with HTTP, RTP network protocol

Specific Requirement for Task 4):

1) Knowledge with video/image processing and pattern recognition

2) Experience with algorithm simulation and implementation

Note: Ambarella can accept qualified candidate as intern or regular engineer for software engineer position.
