Scientist Position:

The science group is comprised of world-class PhDs and analysts from a
variety of disciplines such as statistics, econometrics and math. We are
problem solvers on the cutting edge of technology, using advanced
modeling and optimization techniques from Bayesian forecasting to
non-linear curve fittings. Our solutions run on a robust data analysis
platform, employing algorithms to accurately configure complex demand
models of retail merchandise behavior.

Scientist Responsibilities:

. Understand and contribute to the problem definition and
hypothesis formulation of client situations
. Communicate with clients as needed to verify/define data and
review analytical findings
. Analyze data for trends and relationships
. Formulate and refine hypothesis
. Deliver results to the science team and support formal
presentation of results to clients

Scientist Qualifications:

. Mathematically literate with a PhD in econometrics, operations
research, mathematics, economics, statistics, or a related field
. Computer literate and proficient with relational database and
spreadsheets
. Experience with statistical software (SAS, Splus/Ror
Statistica)
and large quantitative datasets is a plus
. Knowledge of SQL and Visual Basic is desirable
. Scientists are expected to create and deliverconcise, logical
presentations and must be able to handle client contact
. The ability to take on significant responsibility quickly is a
