SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION: Responsible for Mechanical
Manufacturing Analysis. Manage the function to p
erform in-depth analysis of Rockwell Automation products, processes,
methods, etc from a manufacturing perspective. Provide leadership in
conceiving and rec
ommending design and process improvements that significantly and
positively im
pact overall capability of Rockwell Automation. Through team
efforts, makes re
commendations on direction, design and execution primarily to any
business wit
hin Rockwell Automation Control Systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Functional Excellent Understanding and knowledge of World Class
manufacturing processes
and techniques. Through campaign analysis, influence the
organization to adopt new technolog
ies, processes, and tools which will promote the highest possible
quality/spee
d in product development.
Coordinate appropriate business units and departments within the
organizatio
n to define, design and ensure successful campaigns.

Leadership
Provide leadership to product team in conceiving and recommending
manufactur
ing, design and process improvements that significantly and
positively impact overall capability of Rockwell Automation. Act as
key agent to deploying these
methods within the organization.
Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety,
quality, and en
vironmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000,
etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.

Interpersonal
Capable and accomplished at reporting to multiple business areas
and people,
gaining support for all or some aspect of a campaign.
Act as CPI representative and expert resource to organization.
Build relationships Cross Group, (e.g. ACIG, CPAG, etc), Cross
Division (e.g
. IPB, PCP, Logix, SSCB, etc) Cross Business (e.g. DIO, CP, Drives,
etc.) and Cross Function (Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing,
etc).

Business Considerable familiarity and knowledge of products,
industry, and markets is
required.
Act in the capacity of consultant to various Rockwell Automation
businesses,
with requisite control of confidential information of both Rockwell
Automatio
n, Competitors and business partners according to established
guidelines.
Presents results of analysis to Business Unit Leaders with
recommendations o
f the team.
Ensures thorough familiarity with policies and procedures relating
to standa
rds of business conduct.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Business/Technical fields and at least 3 years
of Manufa
cturing experience or Doctors degree , preferably in Drives/Power
System appl
ications.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent English communication and influencing capabilities, and
an ability
to work across business unit lines and with a geographically
dispersed team t
o achieve position objectives. Previous product marketing,
engineering or manufacturing management responsi
bility and demonstrated leadership capabilities preferred.

Process Design knowledge required.

Lean/Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
